What is the greatest METAL song of all time?!!!

For credibility purposes I have to go with

Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nba3Tr_GLZU

I'm probably going to get flamed for this but my personal favorite is

    Danzig - Mother
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RPrj0bp0NA&ob=av2e

    Honorable mention

Manowar - Call To Arms (specifically the 300 mix)

A lot of new metal is good.

    I like Spineshank a lot
"New Disease" is one of my favorites.

But of course people might chime in that there are different categories of metal....yea yea

You know by numbers it would be a metalica song like Enter sandman, One, Four horsemen or master of puppets

Depending how you classify Ozzy, he could have a few

Hard to argue with a lot of other songs like Pantera- Walk

Raining Blood by Slayer should be in the running.

Rammstein's Feuer Frei is up there, fvckin powerful song live

its a difficult question to answer, too many good songs. but i reckon Raining Blood or Angel of Death will be mentioned by alot. Reign In Blood was for def the benchmark album and will never be bettered, and it was my forst ever record at the tender age of 10, what an introduction to a music collection

Wow dude, really??? It's hard enough picking the best metal BAND of all time, and you want the best SONG?

Well, for me it would have to be the song that epitomizes metal, 100%... a song that i'd be happy to have represent metal if I could only give one example... whether that be 20 years ago, or today...

That song is Angel of Death

Just something about "For whom the bell tolls" from Metalica does it for me.

Also glued on to Megadeth in a big way when "Symphony of Destruction" came out.

shouldn't you break it down into which type of metal first? heavy? death? power? goth? (i'll leave glam out of this discussion) certainly the progenitors of metal (sabbath, maiden, purple) should have the honor of best metal song..and shouldn't satan be referenced in said song? therefore i nominate: number of the beast

    just my subjective opinion
