New Immigration Laws to Kick in 2012
Ok these laws have different effects in different states. Let me put my opinion nicely. I have no problem with foreigners coming here and starting a new life, after all, all of us are really not Americans. Now I condone a hard days sweat, even if it pays little. But my problem is these people come and camp outside the welfare office, and barely trying to get a job, or even bother learning the language of the country that is going to supply their next meal! When I am walking and see people speaking another language, or see a billboard in another language, I consider it offensive.
Anybody agree or disagree?

I read the other day that several democratic politicians are trying to change the term illegal aliens to undocumented workers. Political correctness is just one of the broken legs on the american stool.

i have no problem with legally coming here.
I have no problem with them speaking their own language BUT they should learn english too

I welcome all legals who contribute to society. I don't care what language they speak honestly. I do feel like it would give them a better advantage to learn English but at the same time it give me a financial advantage to learn multiple languages as well. What I hate is when I support part of the non working illegals who receive government help.

What I can't believe was that big business was able to dupe the US voter into thinking that by allowing 20 million people over the last decade to come into the US that we the middle class would somehow benefit. They cited figures like US workers not wanting to wash dishes or do construction work and said that by paying immigrants 7.50 (dishwasher) and 15 (construction worker) that we would get cheaper goods. Meantime of course all these immigrants sought out every healthcare and welfare program they had at their disposal. Throw on top of that the number of children that they have ( along with their parents also) and the real cost soon skyrockets.

Remember when it was not considered a dirty thing to work with your hands? I think its a sad reflection on this country that the average hardworking person doing manual labor is now working for less than half of what he made in 1980 when you adjust for cost of living. Meantime the upper middle class and the rich who have benefited so much from this are selling the future of their children but hey no worries at least they got the new boat for the second winter house.

I agree. I mean we all have goals but there is nothing wrong with hardwork and a good sweat.. at least it is honest living... People need to drop the iphone and pick up the broom stick.

Kuwaits immigration laws are great, if your visa expires you have 2 weeks to GTFO or if you stay and are caught they will throw you out.

I disagree with statements that make illegals out to be lazy criminals that just hang out at the welfare office.......1st generation immigrants are the hardest working sonsabitches I've ever met in my life, willing to work 10 and 12 hours a day 7 days a week with a smile on their faces, as far as them sucking up welfare benefits....well no shit sherlock!! You would do the exact same thing if you were offered everything for free. We need to understand what the REAL problem is here, it's not illegals, it IS the politicians who make it possible for them to get everything for free.

The poor bastard that stumbled in here from Mexico via a long walk through the sonoran doesn't have a clue how economics work in the US, all he knows is that his family will be able to afford a better life with that 12 dollars an HOUR, compared to the 12 dollars a WEEK he is used to. He doesn't understand how entitlements work he just knows that someone told him how to get them on a regular basis, that someone works for the Govt in an office created by a liberal leaning administration. This has been going on for decades and is now finally reaching a breaking point, it has to be dealt with but it never will be because it's how liberal administrations buy votes and how conservatives try to get a few votes back by NOT messing with it.

The REAL problem is in Washington, stop worrying about sending illegals back home, truth is they would stay here and work for a lot less even without the free healthcare and welfare, they aren't here to rob and steal from us, it happens inadvertently through the crooks in Washington and the laws they've put in place.

I don't care if they stay but they should pay the same for everything including taxes as everyone else does, as far as welfare goes.....it isn't the "illegals" that are draining that system......I'd do away with all entitlement programs and try to find a better way to help the few who actually need it.

Ok that I agree with, but they keep sucking all the benefits.. Even if they dont know better, its costing us more to keep them here than what they are doing.

I brought my wife (girlfriend at the time) to the er. She took something and had an allergic reaction and was swelling up and having trouble breathing. So she gets a bill for around $800 or so. I call the hospital to see if we can do a payment plane or if they would take less for cash. She asked questions about my girl. If she had a green card. No she didnt. If she worked. I said no (She had a cash job in a bar). I said i supported her. They said ok. In that case just write up a letter stating that and we can reduce the bill to $75

While I worked, I lived within my means and saved my money, I have paid off my house and my two cars and when times got hard I used my savings, not taxpayer money. Now I'm self employed.

I work in the construction industry and the majority of mexicans I have talked to say they don't plan to stay here, only here while the work is here, and that put their cash in bank of america account that their family can use back home. the dollar they make here is worth 13 times the peso back home.

Alot of people that have no green card nrver pay sh*t, so its more economic for the hospital to get the $75 rather than nothing at all..

If companies stopped hiring them, they would stop coming. Cheap products come at a price, like increased health care costs and crime. So either you guys want your cheap food and commercial goods, or you stop hiring them and see crime and hospital bills decrease, but cost of goods increase. Cant have it both ways. Actually most companies pay by check, all those meat factories, restaurants like McDonalds, unless they work for a mom and pops store is hard to pay cash.

Most mainstream companies hire documented workers. Alotta times they work for private companies. WELL I live near the Big Apple in a busy town, so i dont know how it works in the rural parts of the country..
