    I've lost my Mojo....

I'm finally getting my desire to workout again....this time was more time off than usual. Everyone gets burnt out and needs a break from time to time; but this was out of the norm for me to be this long not wanting to lift.

Whats the longest for you and how did you get inspired to get back into the gym?

Might keep me motivated with a new perspective to hear others....

6 months. I was doing a lot of partying and non sense. I was 17-18 during these 6 months, just graduating from school and what not. When I graduated and finally realized I was living the life of a bum I decided to get back into lifting. I was also 160lbs of awesome skinny fat and wasn't liking it.

11 months but it wasn't by choice it was because of injury. It sucked big time but now I'm back in the swing and loving it. I can't really compare to your story but my motovation is just looking in the mirror. I love looking good so by looking in the mirror and seeing that I wasn't made me even more motivated to get back in there. Sounds simple but it works for me. Good luck girl

over a year and a half due to injuries and listening to doctors after my "friends" stop coming around to visit since nobody likes to hang around injured people, not having a job couldn't work was to injured and depressed. I woke up one morning threw out the prescriptions drugs the dotor gave me and signed up at the local golds gym. I figured it would be a nice way to meet new people since I always trained alone at home and that it might raise my confidence like it used to I was a carpenter/construction worker and I loved building things and watching the project progress till its finished and to me the biggest project to build up is myself its been 9 weeks back and I love watching my progress every 4 week and watching bumps grow back and seeing numbers go up I have a few new people I pal around with and im having a pretty good time and I always come back the next day for more theres always pains but im learning to tolerate them but keep in mind theres always a reason not to do something you just have to show up.

    Longest was around 4 months.

What got me back into the gym? I took about 1000 mgs of caffeine and figured I better put it to use. lol

had my back fused. it took me 2yrs to get back to a regular workout schedule. I dropped from 221lbs down to 170lbs now I'm back up to 200lbs. I never lost sight of why I started training in the first place. Bigger Faster Stronger... stay motivated and keep us posted.

By choice 1 week is the longest I've taken off, but that was to prep for a PL comp. It was hard to get going again probably about 2 weeks til I felt myself in the gym again. I was out 3 weeks from gyno surgery but was so ready to get back into it I didn't have any problems besides some chest pain.

I have taken time off (sometimes years) for a bad marriage, starting a business and major injuries.

I pushed hard this entire year and crashed two weeks ago. I have been off diet (but watching calories) and out of the gym. I am hoping that I will cook a big batch of chicken and rice this Sunday and get back to the gym on Monday.

This time it was/is from looking in the mirror and seeing how out of shape I am compared to a year ago.
No excuses but reasons being 2 surgeries to my right eye, doctors ORDERS no lifting for over 3 months 1st time, mother was diagnosed with cancer and passed away Sept and injury to left shoulder, rotator cuff.

    Hoping for a better 2012.

Last time motivation was looking at pictures of myself and my 24yr old GF 5 years ago.
