Burn DVD's
I have various films on laptop that i want to burn to DVD, they are orginally DVD rips and most are in .avi or MPEG-4 format, can anybody tell me how to get them to DVD's, what format do they need to be in to play on DVD player and what software i need to convert them to be playable on DVD player etc. Any ideas?

What I use is ConvertXtoDVD (http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/) It will convert just about any video format to a DVD. You can also get it here: http://www.demonoid.me/files/details/2746223/2207853/
great program;

Yeah there are several DVD ripping and converting programs out there now days and work pretty good. I use to rip & burn all the time but now days when you can get DVD even bluray for around $5 each it's just not worth the effort anymore. Also my Bluray DVD play has a USB port I plug a thumb drive in and it plays AVI and MPEG with no problems.
