My poor three legged kitty!

Well, here she is. Skittish, won't let no one touch her. Been thinking she was preggers since i came back in october, but damn! cat gestation period is only two months. is it possible i'm overfeeding her? three legged kitties can't be that active, and therefore not burn many calories?

isn't she cute? she will eat from my hand, but that's about it so far... she jumps if i touch her, poor thing! you'd be afraid too if someone took your leg =(

my daughter sent me a cat toy for Xmas, ya know, a stick with a string, and at the end, a feathery catnip thingy. She kinda has an interest, but not too much. I'd bring her back with me in three weeks, but she's afraid of people, and I just flat out ran out of time working with her. She needs a few more months minimum before she would be approachable by others. she lets me approach, but hey! I'm meals on wheels to her!

Anyways, when i leave at the end of the month, not sure what is going to happen to her. Doubt she will be able to make it on her own....?

I'm not a cat person due to me being very allergic to them, but that is a nice looking cat. I don't get how anyone can mistreat any animal.

you cant take her and make her an outside cat at home?

she just isn't the right cat to take home. first, it would be expensive. second, she would need to be quarantined. when i listen to her eat from my hand, it sounds like she has a slight respitory problem. third, we rescued a kitty early summer 2010, and the poor thing had lukemia, which is common, so had to put it down. I would hate to blow a bunch of cash only to find she was sick and had to put her down. fourth, she isn't good with people. she's starting to become good with me, but even still, when i touch her, she jumps like i just zapped her with a cattle prod.
