Reading is such a waste of time...
I had the nook for a bit then sold it.Realist: A person who sees things as they truly are. A practical person. The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; The realist adjusts the sails. — William Arthur Ward

I should get one. I am reading 3 different books right now and they are spread out around the apartment. Be easier to just have them all in one place and not take up the space.

I cant read for sh*t. ADD. I get distracted after the first sentence, that's why I have minimum 8 tabs open on my web browser and have 3 screens with 2-4 aps in the foreground on each.
Only way I can do books is on tape/MP3 which reminds me there is one I need to download, Piers Anthony DoOon mode.
And yes you can watch porn on a smart phone.

two things stopping me
1) having to pay retail for everything I read (I usually just go to the used book store)
2) after spending all day looking at a monitor, the last thing i want to do is look at an even smaller monitor

The Kindle is great. It's easy to read, and the battery lasts for a month or so. Amazon also has a nice service where you can email a pdf off to them and it will download to the kindle all formatted and everything.

Just got a Kindle and love it. Check out your local library; many allow you to borrow electronically. Also, if your are into classics The Gutenberg Project has older titles that you can download for free.

Most of the books i get are now on audio.
I down about 1-2 books per month on audio....and one standard copy.....usually from the library (dayum right...i'm paying property taxes...i want my Chit!)
I've seen the ebooks on my Firefox browser. I don't have the patience or eyesight to squint on my cell phone and read a book. Ipad would be kewl for that....but usually my books are technical...and i like to scribble in them and take notes. Plus i like to read while on the crapper, in the kitchen where grease is flying, taking them to the beach, gym, throwing my books all over the place (general abuse)....i don't think my kindle would last long (sigh).
Plus...i would be SUPER PISSED if i lost it or splashed water on that fvchker....FURIOUS!
