I have read that a few of you use a pre paid credit/debt card for online shopping to prevent ID theft and have anonymity. Any ones you can recommend? Sorry if this was a little off topic.

any prepaid mastercard or visa, available from most shops here in ireland, use it then throw it job done

I have two accounts, one specifically set up for internet purchases, and has a normal balance of zero. Right before a purchase, I transfer over the exact amount I need on line, and then make the purchase. It’s important to NOT have overdraft on the account that maintains the zero balance.

I just found out certain credit cards such as Bank of America lets you set up a online pre paid card for each online use/purchase that is limited to the amount you specify that can either be re loaded or create a new one each time at no charge.

I use a prepaid visa that i pick up at my bank!
