It was 85 in Florida the week before Christmas. But now I'm home to this snow and Ice. I wish it lasted more than a week here though. This is my back porch, my ice tree. Click image for larger version.

In north florida where im at it has been close to 80 lately. I wish it would cool down a little. I enjoy the winters here because they never get too cold bu this has been the warmest in a long time. Its usually in the 50s around this time

Yeah but the tourist love it; like me. I consider us lucky, we even got to go to the water park one day it was warm enough. I also enjoyed the fact Florida has so many express ways, many alternative routes to get to the same place and you dont have police sitting behind every sign using radar trying to catch people doing 5 mph over the speed limit like we do in Seattle. 50%+ of the police here are for nothing but giving out tickets, collecting revenue. I'm serious.

$212 if you are caught sledding on a public road. REALLY???
The new trick is in areas where they know you wont typically be speeding near department stores and such they hide the car and stand next to the road with binoculars looking a block or more down the road for people using the cell phone so they can hand out another $200+ ticket.
I'm not bitter because I have been caught. As a matter of fact my last ticket was in 1989. Yeah really but I still hate seeing my tax money being wasted like this and then being told our state does not have enough money. Tax, tax, tax and top it off with this type of revenue collecting but we still dont have money? Same with our power company. Recently audited and found to be one of the most wasteful in the nation. Over charging by 50%, 2x the manpower compared to anyone else and since the audit they claim they are in a deficit so they are raising the rates 8.9% Obviously that's how you fix the problem...

Sorry to get the thread OT.

I dont know, I have listened to a couple of his stand-ups now you posted and it's starting to sound pretty good.
No seat belt law? Smoking is allowed in bars? Is there a helmet law? Prostitution is legal? Not that I'm interested in that.

The thing I liked best while visiting Boston was the cheap lobster.
I was with my niece while she was parking and some jack a$$ tried to snatch her spot while she was backing into it he tried to pull in forward (parallel parking) so I got out to tell him we were there first so kindly move. As soon as I got out of the car he pealed out and took off. My niece said if you get out of the car it means you are going to kill someone, literally. LOL

Same day we are laying on a beach and some guy walks up and starts talking to her. After a few minutes I turn towards them and the guy stops talking and sort of stares at me. She says Oh, this is my Uncle (I was 24?) He said yeah right and walked away. hahahahaha I told her sorry...
