I have zero athleticism... I only excelled at sports that didn't require fine tuned coordination and where I could just throw my body around, like football and rugby... lol

You don't have to be an athlete to play center. You just need to be tall and can dunk.

According to the study the surgery does not guarantee the patients "short man syndrome" will be cured.

It does make you smarter. After doing it one time you will NEVER do it again so in fact you have learned something and you are smarter.
You still arent as smart as us who knew NOT to do it in the first place but some people need the first hand experience to learn.

Apparently. If I were short though, I don't think I would do that.

The real problem is MOST short people could not afford it. There are always exceptions like Danny Deveto but it's proven that the taller you are the more you make on average so the shorter you are the less you make.

Most of these types of surgeries they say are done on children (poor kids) who have birth defects and the parents/insurance pays for it. For a normal person to do it $$$$
