I heard the same thing. They were talkin about it yesterday on the radio news. They were talking about conflicting evidence n speculation that the kid made up the whole scenario.

I tried looking online for news stories to back up what they were sayin but came up empty

They were speculating that the kid was playing with gasoline n burned himself on accident, then blamed it on some kids to avoid punishment from parents. They were pointing out conflicting evidence from the case that raised doubt if the 2 other kids were even involved.

I can't find any written articles to support this and have no clue what really happened, but this is what was being discussed.

Bronzer be better than that, this is exacty what the media wants..... I don't know how everyone turns to racism all the time... This Generation is so much better than that..... All people want is justice..... No one knows what really happened... All people know is that A African American was shot by White American (Mexican American to be exact but i guess that doesn't seem to matter).... If indeed the boy did attack the watchmen WITH A GUN he should have been shot... BUT the only solid proof we have is that the watchmen called in a suspicious person to the police and the police told him not the engage the boy and they would take care of it.. Next thing you know shots where fired and the boy was dead.... My logic behind the matter is that the watchmen disobeyed orders to not engage the suspect and went ahead and did it anyway.... SO it seems to me the watchmen was looking for trouble...." BUT i don't know what happened between the order to stand down and the shots fired so its just speculations off of what i have to work with...

If you're a straight, white male, you're the one that is racist, sexist and homophobic. If you're not a white straight male, you can get away with so much more.

The problem with the Media is it re-inforces that we're so ashamed of our past which is rife with racism, sexism and homophobia that it has to hit home that things like that today are not acceptable.

And rightly so....except, this is enforced or white straight males only.

The irony is, it's uptight white liberal males today that are more offended by slurs or derogatory remarks more than the demographic group the slur is aimed at.

So it should serve as no surprise why this article is swept under the carpet or if it gets air time would just state "man tortured to death by two others".

It's a fvckin joke..... If people want racism to stop then they need to stop talking about it. There will always be a select few who have extreme views but no one can change that.

If any race feels "inferior" or feels discriminated against then why don't they stand up and say "we don't need lower testing scores to get into college" - "we don't need special treatment" - If you want to be equal to everyone else then EVERYTHING should be equal.

There was a kid on the news who was taking the SAT's for other students..... he found a way to make money off it and justified it by saying some of these kids are bad test takers and just needed a better score to get into a better school. Now the schools argued that doing so undermines those kids who scored better and ruined their shot at an education form a better school...... What If we apply that logic to race? If 10 white student, 10 black students, and 10 spanish students take a test to get into a college and the top 10 scores are 7 white students, 2 black students, and 1 spanish student shouldn't those who scored well get the opportunity? Why should the school choose 5 of the top 7 white students so they can boost their culteral diversity.

Now lets say you were one of the minority students who was chosen because of your race..... how the fvck can you feel good about yourself knowing your race got you into a school?

All this recent jump-to-conclustions internet rage has made me decide they are ALL "wait and see what really happened" stories now.

I am tired seeing people spend hours arguing about situations where only a small portion of the facts are known. Way too much speculation happens and everyone gets heated without knowing squat. They attach themselves to one piece of info and extrapolate an huge fantasy scenario around it.

Butt hurt? You must have taken my honest question as sarcasm. I understand groups of people evolved into distinct populations defined by physical characteristics. And I will say again that I am not arguing...if it isn't a culture, then what is there to be proud of? That we come from mostly northern Europe and share some physical characteristics? Our ancestors coming from the same place doesn't really make us alike in any way other than some common traits.

I am not saying you are stupid or wrong, just trying to have a conversation. Not everything on the internet is an argument.

Judging by your avatar...we are about the same color of pasty white. I am Ginger, so people would definitely call me white. but, I don't have any sort of identity wrapped up in being white and don't feel trust or feel instant kinship with another person just because they are white any more than I have a kinship with some other random characteristic like blue eyes, red hair, freckles, being double jointed or having lactose intolerance - most of which are norther European traits. Not sure why I am lactose intolerant since it is only found in 5% of northern Europeans...just unlucky I guess.

I'll answer my own question. No America hasn't gone mad. Just a few hoodlums attempting to take advantage of a sad situation and use it for an excuse, lousy one at that for them to justify stealing. I hope they use video footage to find them all and put them in jail and if that is racist then so be it. It doesn't matter if they were white or black if they steal they deserve to be punished. IMO
