    Steroids - Health issues

My question, apart from sides like gyno, acne, temp high Bp. Have you or anyone you know personally had any serious health issues which may have been a cause of steroid use . We all hear about the dangers on the news the Internet and from alot of uneducated people in our life's. Are these people brain washed with a load of media hype and scare tactics or are we just being ignorant. I understand it has it's dangers, but what doesn't these days?

I know a number of guys who competed and used heavily in the 80s who are now suffering low T or on TRT. By the same token most of these guys stayed on for months and knew nothing of PCT. As far as the complications to the cardiovascular system, so far so good none of them are suffering heart attacks, strokes, etc. of course a factor in that may be that most of them while no longer competing they are for the most part still involved in the fitness world, eat well and excersize. If they were corporate giants or governers they might well be in a different situation.

I had moderately high BP for about a year after my last cycle. I was put on a very small (5 mg) amount of medication and it went down. I came off the medicine for two weeks and found my BP was down on it's own now, so my doctor took me off it.

Coincidence that Arnold and Stallone both have heart problems now. I dont know. Do some research and see how all the former Mr. O participants are doing now.

I personally think there are risks that come along with steroid use . Many of which would be related to prexisting conditions or genetic predisposition that steroid use may compound. Those factors aside , I think steroids like many medications can be used relatively safely. The key is used - now when you enter into abuse (just as with many meds) the game changes. Where is the line between use and abuse? I dunno.
The biggest risks as I see them would be impaired hpta function and cardiac stress.

Man I have seen some guys so some really dumb and crazy stuff and make it out alright! My brother and his room mates in college were massive meat heads! but they were very irresponsible!! this was a while back but I remember my brother would be running a gram of test, deca , tren you name it for months at a time! with only a month or two break in between cycles, his budies and him got a great deal on powders so instead of taking a pill like most of us would he would lick his finger, dip it in a zip lock bag of dbol and then put it in his mouth...when I look back on it he would prob taking about 100mg of dbol a day for periods of 4-8 weeks at a time! he was also a heavy drinker at the time and ate like shit....would eat fast food almost daily and lived off of high sugar weight gainer....I look back and think how in the world did he not go into liver failure? lol But he made it out alive...this was a while back and he has not touched anything for about 7-8 years now but he seems to be ok so far, test levels are ok, BP and cholesterol are fine. Now mabey when he is 60 it will be a different story? but he did everything you could possibly do wrong and still he is ok lol
