I think it is fairly obvious why most people would want to just up there post count To be able to text words. You may also get banned by the time you reach post 26 With any luck.

I think after so many posts + x time on the board you can start instant messaging people. I wouldn't worry too much about ranking up though. Usually the guys who rank up know quite a bit about gear.

Some people think that once they reach a certain number of post they are automatically given privileges the others do not have Who are you. The problem is the Administrators are smarter than that and they watch so it also has to do with the quality not just quantity.
Hmmmm Maybe that explains why it took me over 500 post before I could pm. LOL

I think everyone is a little different. Sometimes it's just the honor of doing the right thing and being part of a great site. You could probably ask in the 1 on 1 with the staff to get a more specific answers.
