Well, wife and kids left......so I just bought a Vette!
As some of you know......I just got divorced.....well legally seperated......and my wife and kids moved 800 miles away back to PA. So I did what any 40 year old, seperated, going through a mid-life crisis, meathead would do.....I bought a Vette!!!
If she ever finds out (I guess I should say WHEN she finds out)......she is going to be PISSED!Last edited by Bigdog99; 05-03-2012 at 09:54 AM. Reason: spelling

Yeah I am hoping the girls will come next! Great gift.....it was funny I was driving it home from the dealer last night and complete strangers were waving at me and giving me thumbs up etc. AND ever other Vette I saw on the road waved too...like bikers do.....who knew??
I didn't name her yet.......she is Red......and a girl friend of mine said she should be named "Cheri" still open for suggestions!

I dont think I would go on a spending spree till after your divorce what if the judge gives her the car Im sure you wouldnt like paying a payment on a new vette and see some twenty five year old stud racing up and down the road with your ex hanging on him.And the judge if you can afford a vette you should be able to afford this astronomical amount of spousal support and child support Im giving you.Good luck

gonebluffin.....thanks for your concern.....but I did think about all that stuff...but our divorce is uncontested and there is no judge etc.....property settlement agreement already signed off on and filed at the courthouse. She took her ML 350 and I took my Infiniti M45. The agreement says we can do whatever we want to do with them after everything is split up.....which it is. Done deal.

Also.....Already paying a shit load for child support and I don't mind it a bit. They ARE still my kids and they deserve the best.

Need a pic or a good description to properly name her...
for example: If it's a convertible call her Destiny (or insert your favorite stripper name here)... She likes to take her top off, lets you and a buddy get inside her at the same time and as long as you keep pumpin money into her she'll do whatever you want... just don't take the name too far n wrap her around a pole

2008 (C6-so has the LS3 6.2L 430hp motor) Vette. RED, targa top....only 17K miles. I was looking at newer ones but they had the same or more miles on them and since they were newer (but same body style-_C6) I went for the 08 and saved $1,000's. Super clean car. Has upgraded Chrome Vette rims and has stainless steel mesh covers on the side vents which looks cool. Standard base package inside. Only thing I wasnt crazy about was that it is not a manual tranny......but the paddle shifters make up for it and are pretty fun.
What you you have Vetteman??

On the positive side, since you have an automatic you now have a free hand to hold your beer or fondle the hot little blonde sitting next to you

ok abstetic... NP....well....quite simply it is a Vette and I am at the time in my life that I can comfortably afford one (along with house payments, child support etc etc) A Vette is a Vette man. Legendary. I bought it for the whole package. Ever driven one? It really is like nothing else. I had an Infiniti M45 that I traded in for it and that was a very nice and quick car too (335 hp). Owned it for 5 years and I can count on one hand how many times someone ramdom would just stop and say "hey nice car" I have had the Vette for one day and more people have already stopped and said that. People wave and give you thumbs up.....it is crazy and it was quite unexepted to tell you the truth. So pretty much that is why. Not that I am an attention whore or anything.....it just feels GOOD. BTW I dragged a WRX with my M45 and we were even. Not sure if the kid knew how to drive the thing or what........and I know this Vette is way faster than my M45.

I get the kids pulling up next to me at the light in those things always feeling they've got something to prove. I just ignore them. The guys with the 911 turbos or M3's and other high end imports are the ones that just pull up quietly, but in a respectful way everyone knows it's game on.
