At the end ~ that fence we crawl under ~ is electrocuted... Tiger shark was dared still in his military gear (cuz we got him from base and went straight to the run) so the military volunteers dared him to do a full press while under the fence for a free beer tix...he did it! Even after the exhausting run...HOOORAH!

I was just told about the Zombie 5K here in Texas. Friend just gave me the link. Giving myself 6 months to get ready......Can't wait, even though my ol' lady is giving me hell for "paying" to be "active outdoors". She just doesn't "get it".

best when goin with others but (up here anyway) you'll find yourself in a small cluster of ppl at your speed and have laugh along the way.
*there is a free beer coupon on your runners number ~ most ppl didnt notice this
*you can bring a bag of clean clothes/towel etc and they have a secure area free of charge to check it in at
* timer is sapposed to go on your shoe laces BUT i recomend you tie it some plce high ( mine came off in the mudd pits/ tigers was almost lost too
*dress to get SOAKED and wear cr@p shoes
the free tee shirts are actualy great quality!
* bring zippy bag for your cash an ID to stay in/dry
* we had a suberu dealer at ours and if you trade in a red flag for one of theres...and stay alive with the suberu flag...you are entered in drawing for free car/ get a seat cover
no food allowed...prices are good burger 5.00 turkey leg 7.00 pulled pork 6.00 drinks 1 or 2.00

The militray ppl are actual military personal volunteering and are funny as h3ll as they scream "this is a zombie RUN not a zombie WALK fool, they will eat you!" lol you can dress up for it too... we saw ppl as WHERES WALDO...BANANA's that said "zombies dont eat fruit! nah nah nah nah nah lol
(my kid wanted to go as the "chick-a-fll-A" mascot (dressed as a cow with a "eat more chicken" sign lol)

I was sceptical and hesitant about the 75.00 per person plus 10.00 parking too (310.00 total)... but when tiger told me about it ~ i saw the exitment in his eyes ... there for MADE IT HAPPIN lol and saved spending money for the day
some times we have ta put the bills and practicalities aside for quality time with ppl we adore

The flags rep your life...so objective= keep all 3 flags/stay alive through zombie apocalypse lol
If you keep a flag at the end you get a diff medal....for us, if you keep your Subaru flag till the end you get entered in drawing for free car

So basically its just bragging rights 

This was a lot of fun and we were covered in mud and soaking wet by the end. You think 5k is not so bad until you count the hills and mud pits and tunnels and other sh$t you have to go through to get to the end. Then when you relax and try catch your breath freaking zombies come running out of the woods. I want to do it again!
