    A Tennessee man's problems paying child support aren't so surprising: He has 30 children with 11 different women.

    Desmond Hatchett, 33, of Knoxville, is pleading with the state to help him pay for child support, citing the fact that he earns minimum wage. Hatchett made national news in 2009, when his tally stood at 21 children.

    “I had four kids in the same year," he said. "Twice.”

    The mothers of his children are supposed to get anywhere from $25 a month to $309 a month for help raising the children. The state takes half of Hatchett's paycheck to divide among the mothers of his children, but now Hatchett has petitioned the state to help him meet his obligations.

    The children range in age from toddlers to 14 years old.

    I say the only hand out he needs is a vasectomy. Let the kids go to state custody. At least that way tax dollars will go to actually supporting the kids and not the idiot parents.

    the state should give them nothing. The mothers need to take some responsibility for having a kid with some guy that already has a dozen or two. What where they expecting. I'm sorry but some people are so stupid they dont deserve help

    Now now guys where is your pc spirit? You know we should welcome these people with open arms and checkbooks even giving a portion of our social security to help their little illegitimate children. Well actually I think our social security is going for that upkeep. Man that sucks. Seriously I hate knowing that I'm paying for people like this to raise their children while they are out making even more babies that they cannot afford to raise. We need those people back running this country who ran it 50 or so years ago and this would not be an issue IMO. But it's just one more thing we cannot control..sucks big time.

    Sad truth of it is that if the state will not help the guy will probably get some type of federal aid. And the welfare checks will get bigger for the mothers.

    I'm sure you guys have heard the term "i hope you don't breed". Well unfortunately this guy is. And he's doing a pretty good job by the looks of it. I think the government should throw in a extra $100 and get this man castrated. In the long run it will save them allot of money.

    The Asshole found a loophole.. he has no incentive to stop havin kids because his existing payments will just become lower.. I mean seriously.. how the fvck is $1.49/month considered child support? wtf that gonna do? buy a box of mac n cheese?

    If the gov't were to have child support minimums he woulda been in jail before he coulda reached 10 kids...
