    I can finally eat

Started my new job today and I'm stoked. Finally have a job conducive to eating. With 2 10 min breaks and 30 for lunch all scheduled at 3 hour intervals I can finally stop cramming so much into less frequent meals. Gonna make things a lot easier for this guy.

Downside is it pays less. I guess it's a trade off.

I was running a trash route for waste management. Long hours and no time for gym or family. Not to mention the wear on the body jumping in and out of the truck several hundred times a day. Now I'm working fir a concrete casting company. First day was today and it's gonna be a breeze. Company policy requires the use of an over head crane for anything over 50lbs and anything under 50 that has to be lifted above waist level. Takes most of the labor out of the job.

Wasn't the trash. You get used to that. It was the way the pay was. It was a flat day rate that got translated into an hourly pay for overtime and such. So taking time to eat meant you were losing money. There was about a dollar an hour difference between me stopping to eat a couple times during the day vs not stopping at all. Those extra few hours spent eating brought the average down for the week.
