    Switching tips

I've heard it's better to switch needles after you have withdrawn your oils into the syringe, because it gets dull.

Do you guys agree with this? Or do u find no difference in how smooth pinning is ?

Yes, switch them. The rubber stopper dulls the needle quite a bit.

I find 18g a little big to draw because it can damage the rubber stopper sometimes and allow it to leak. I like to draw with a 21g.

18 to draw, 25 to pin. Does anyone use the same 18g to draw more than once?

Yup. I'll use the same 18 a few times but make sure and sterilize it before each use.

No. They are not that expensive. Why risk contamination?

does anyone have any idea the magnification on these images? Because the after 6 uses looks like it wouldn't break the skin.

you should be using a bigger gauge needle if you are injecting intramusclar (18-23g)

The size is not affected by where you are injecting. There would be nothing wrong with even using a 27 if the oil would pass through it. THe size is simply for ease of injection

while that is true, an inch long 27g needle would be very easy to bend and i bet one would have to plunge for a while.

Yep. There are disadvantages to smaller gauges. I would never use a 27 but a 25 works just fine for the prop Im currently using

    18's are only around 10$ for 100.

18 to draw 23-25 to pin. change em up, it's cheap and so much easier.
