I'm on week two of accutane and so far it's made my acne way worse, but I guess it's supposed to. I'm gonna take doxycycline to get rid of the current pimples and then continue with tane. I'll let you know how the antibiotics work, should be here soon. This is my second time trying accutane.

The first month sucks because it gets much worse. After that you will start to see improvement. Just stick it out.

    ^^
Lie dose accutane is deffernatly the way to go, I had to bump upto 30-40mg to clear my existing gyno then 20-20 is a good place to cruise on cycle,
Look after your lips, plenty of moisteriser mine are cracked at the moment And are a pain to heal, it wouldn't have been so bad, but the liquid accutane crashed and I attempted to recover it with no sucsess so who knows how much I was taking for that week or two, but it did destroyed my lips and dried my skin pretty bad, I dropped it a week ago and will start my new bottle at 20mg Ed for the rest of my cycle when I get home in a week.

Is acutane prescribed or OTC? I've tried proactive and didn't help. My aunt is a Mary Kay consultant and she gives me their acne stuff. It seems to help keep control but I still break out sometimes. I read once that some anti bald shampoo does wonders for acne, anyone know what that's called and where to get it?

You can get doxycycline from pet stores without a script, a lot of sources also carry antibiotics.

I have found low dose accutane is just a short term solution with many of the same sides. Its not worth it imo.

My dermatologist prescribed me 120 mgs a day for 5 months. I was 230 lbs at the time. The sides were bad but I have been off for 2 years and have not had any issues with acne since.

Back when I would run 20 mgs a day, it woud clear it up for a short period but it would return later
