    Philosophy

What up iron addicts, i'm from AZ and just came across this site, been talking it up with the guys in the nutrition forums and just wanted to give my two cents on my personal philosophies of playing with weights. I'm a deep ass thinker and love pondering and believe that you can learn directly and indirectly through your own experiences and other's experiences.

I look at the weight room as a place to find solace at times and have come to the realization that it has built a lot of my character. Its taught me tons of stuff, self discipline, commitment accountability, failure, etc. Its really built me as a person. I've come to realize that by going through the shit we go through in the gym, pushing ourselves, that sharp burn, doing things when you don't want to, sometimes throwing the cookies up in the john, laughing, gaining friends, etc, it's like building up a strong foundation to withstand the shit you can't control in life. Ive grown to love this. I love the gym because i can almost control every aspect of it, in the real world i can't control a damn thing. I just know that theres something i want to change in myself and if i don't i'm going to face the biggest nightmare of fear that awaits around the corner. I enter the gym with no sense of self control because i can't figure out solutions to issues outside the gym, but once i put that last weight down from that last rep, i leave clear headed seeking for new solutions to issues. Its a beautiful thing and i just wanted to throw it out there....i'd love your guys' phils. or ideas on things you ponder
