    New pr tonight

So I set a goal to deadlift 400 by end of summer. Hit the gym tonight feeling pretty good and over 6 sets managed to get 385 for my 1rm. Not a lot of weight compared to some but weighing in at 160lbs I was pretty happy. Just felt like sharing my good night.

Congrats, always nice to hit a PR. Keep the progression solid and you should reach your goal. It sometimes sucks not having someone to share a big accomplishment with. I tell my wife but she pretends to care. And no one else has a clue what it means if I tell them. So nothing wrong with coming here and telling us!

My latest pr i am most proud of is bench 305x8, I don't do singles on the regular lifts too often, but do with variations, so my 1RM is still only 345 as it hasn't been tested in 9 months or so. But my bench is skyrocketing, having lower body issues so nothing on S/DL to speak of yet.

Yeah I stopped telling the wife. Like you said she pretends to care but really doesn't. The only interest she takes is when she's giving me a guilt trip about making her feel bad when I sit down to dinner with a chicken breast and bowl of spinach. Don't really have a lot of support here at home. I think if I wait for a Sunday I could pull 400 now but my new job has me lifting and moving precast concrete boxes all day.
