    Cardio

How the hell, do ye get motivated to do it? I used be good when I first started gymming I needed to loose weight to help myself see the gains I was getting when I first started but that was 4 years ago since I have done cardio. I would like to know how ye all keep at it for long periods of time and what diets and training ye are doing to keep gaining size and loose weight.

i hate cardio. I never really did it to cut. But i did it for actual cardio to fight. So my motivation would be not getting may ass kicked.

yeah, cardio is the think i let slip the most too. but for me, it's more of a routine thing, ya know, just get in your car when yer sposed to, and just do it. Keep the thought process to a minimum and just get through it. Hopefully there is a hottie there i can pretend not to be looking at while i'm doing it

What TR said is kinda my problem I think, I have just gotten outta the routine of doing it therefore it's harder to break the mould. Like 15 mins a night aint going to kill anyone but it's trying to keep it going for all the time is the problem. And I need to cut a bitta fat overall I'm 230lb's at about 16-18% bf I'd imagine which makes me look a bit too bulky.

Lol, Gixx is there anything you don't do try and not get into a fight

Any reason to do cardio while bulking? Besides cardiovascular health?

^ I find that cardio reduces my appetite, so when I get to the stage in my bulk where my calorie surplus is getting out of control ill start to incorporate some LISS cardio on my rest days.

    two reasons, imo, for cardio

    cardiovascular health

    fat loss

    general conditioning.

    like i said, three reasons.

so if bulking, then only two other...

I like to get my cardiovascular training in by doing things that will tax me in ways your conventional jogging/running do like swimming, grappling, skating, off-road biking, or wakeboarding while a solid playlist is on that puts me in a zone where the last thing on my mind is doing cardio. Seems to really work on my end.

I guess find the cardio you like (or hate the least). . . . I fvcking hate HIIT, did it before and it worked real well for dropping my last few pounds. But, I still rather do extreme high resistance for a longer period of time than HIIT. . . . To each is own though.

Grab 5-6 songs that really get you going when you do cardio and it will be over before you know it

I am done with the 30 minutes on the treadmill

I started flipping the tire, then go into sledge hammer hits and then push the rack with a rope tied to it and pull it back. I do that 4-5 times I am ready to die

    2. iPhone

You can still gain weight and do cardio, you just have to do the right type of cardio, for me what works is the treadmill at 3.5-3.7mph at a 4-6 increase in incline and I keep my heart below 123bpm. This burns fat and will not burn muscle, I can go up to an hour like this. Also fasted cardio works great a quick 30minute session at 3.9mph no incline in the morning on an empty stomach with 50mcg of T4 and 100mcg of mod gfr-1 and 100mcg of ghrp-2 and C-4 Extreme. You will be hurting after this, so bring water and eat right after.

I find audio books are great for cardio; You can learn a crazy amount of stuff during that time. www.thegreatcourses.com has some pretty good learning type audios, some of them are quite boring tho.

Cool man, might have a bang off that. One night a week of cardio or every night and then weight training or after? I used do it after weights for cardio.

I found I was getting my best cardio workout when I was working out. I didnt do long pauses between routines and in 1 hr I had my hear rate up quite good and steady as well as a constantly sweating. I was still doing like 10 miniatures of treadmill warm up before working out. Recently I have been walking more. My gym is about 10 minutes fast walk from my work place so I walk to it and back if it's not raining. I also try to always take teh stairs instead of the elevator especially if it's only 4 flights or less. Just find excuses to do a little extra. Park away from the store and walk, use the stairs and also as said, get into a routine.

When I was younger I use to run/jog for miles just to get out there and sometimes to go visit my GF because the car was broke. lol

I try to get my cardio in by playing sports, like swimming, basketball etc. Straight cardio is overrated imo, and I've learned that if I'm not mentally stimulated by it, chances are I'm going to fall off.

12 weeks ago you couldnt pay me enough to get on the treadmill. Today, you couldnt pay me enough to get off of it. Somehow, I just learned to love it. The mirror is very motivating.

This couldn't be more true. Eventually you just start to love it. I used to hate it now I can't workout without it. But it goes both ways, once you stop making it a habit, you start all over and hate it again

The trick is to get on a cardio machine right behind the hottest girl in the gym, then imagine that you're chasing her

If you're chasing her, then, in effect, wouldn't she be running away?

Hahaha. No, Dren would be chasing after the girl with the lumpy cellulite ass, then have angry sex with her in the parking lot.
I think of it as similar to sled dog training, where they'd dangle a piece of meat in front of the dogs on a pole that they could never catch.
But seriously, it's all about finding something pleasant and motivational to focus on while running, and a nice ass works better than anything else (especially FOX "news" or whatever garbage is on the TVs, which I'm pretty sure would give me a stroke).
