Well I guess it hasnt hurt Phelps to much since he just broke the record for the most Olympic medals by one person in 49 years.
Not saying it helped him in any way but someone who trains as hard he does or any of the Olympians deserve a break of their choice once in a while. Maybe it's his form of a cheat meal/day? lol

Yeah I know I spoke way too soon on this one. Hey I'm not ashamed to admit I got it wrong and apparently I did. Maybe Michael saw my thread on him..lol But after watching an interview of him I got that opinion from watching it. He even said he hadn't trained for this olympics and acted uninterested in it. But now it seems he got his mojo back and is kicking some booty. So I stand (sit) corrected...mea culpa 30 lashes with a wet noodle for me. In the mean time it's good to see him back at it again. So whatever got him in his groove great job. I liked the guy and didn't hold his after hours activity against him unless it was interfereing with his training which is what it seemed like after seeing that interview. But it's all good.

Meh, pot does not affect your ability to train/perform. When I was in D1 soccer on the HS team my friend was a huge stoner who always smoked me on endurance runs, sure I was faster but no way was I going to keep up his pace. Plus he was also shredded like no other. In college I even knew people who smoked cigs like a chimney and could still play soccer/tennis at a very competitive level, the girl who played tennis actually won every year so yeah...

It's affects diff people in diff ways. I know people who can do it and go to the gym, play sports, hike, etc. and others who can't do anything but sit and watch tv. Has a lot to do with your personality I'm sure.

you got it all wrong! Ryan was the shit talker. He said it was his time. Phelps just beat him a few minutes ago. Ryan lost the relay for the mens team. He will never even be close to what Phelps has accomplished. And micheal is cooler because he smokes weed and is the greatest Olympian of all time.

You know in hindsight I wonder if all that interview I saw of him saying he wasn't in shape nor prepared for the olympics was just a psych out for his competitors to drop their guard. Because he sure is ripping up the joint for someone who is out of shape. And if continued winning gold medals is considered out of shape count me in....

I started off that way only because I liked him and when I saw his interview and how he talked and acted about the olympics this time around and when he didn't come in first right out the gate, I was bummed, thinking he thought more about catching a buzz than winning. Little did I know he could multitask with doing both. lol But it's all good now. Besides I wanted him to win over Lochte and now he has a wide lead and will end up an untouchable champ of possibly 22 medals and that ain't nothing to sneez at....
