These cops have way more patience than me

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TP63...eature=related

"I know my rights..I know my rights" SHUT THE FVCK UP.

Everyone loves to hate on cops, but this is a prime example of some jerk off disturbing the peace and trying to throw the First Amendment into it to defend himself.

I stopped video 1:30 into it. The cop told him to go and everything was cool. The punk chose to stick around and ask questions.

I don't know about you...but if i have a confrontation w/the law and they say "see ya", i'm gone. Why the hell do you want to stick around?

Yeah, i agree. I used to workout w/some cops as they were friends of friends. Paramedics, Firemen and such. Got a lot of good juice off them. They're people just like we are doing a job. But i always keep in mind that they have a badge that allows them to fvck w/you. And you won't win if they arrest your ass. I don't pay them much attention anymore though. They have bigger fish to fry.

It's the fact that he's going out his way to be a nuisance. And for his information, the first amendment right only takes you so far. Handing out flyers of a vagina and a fetus to 12 year old girls, while preaching to them the dangers of abortion would probably offend most parents. With that being said, it makes one hell of a case for harassment. I think his "freedom of speech" would be voided due to the totality of the circumstance. (Parents and representatives of the school complaining about his actions)

To make a long story short, he would have made life a lot easier on EVERYONE, including himself, if he just shut up and walked away.

Not yet but he is working on it from what I understand.
There is a fine line between law abiding and provoking sometimes. To many people purposely try to force a response while claiming to be within their rights. Most of us would not be so lenient I think.

He was probably someone who grew up without a father or anyone who was a real authority figure and never got disciplined or spanked as a child. Not Bronzer, lol I mean the guy in the video. I agree with the common sense if a cop tells me to leave I'm leaving in most cases.

It's guys like that fool in the video that remind why I didn't pursue law enforcement. I would have asked him to leave once, then I would have taken my night stick out and given him some dental work.

He's doing little more than antagonizing the cops and encouraging the youths to do the same by not acquiescing to the authorities. Some people take their civil liberties too damn far.

Good luck to anyone pursuing a career in law enforcement. I certainly couldn't do it. I'd be suspended outside of a week on duty! Lol

This is what law enforcement considers a problem that must be dealt with? Wow, They teach 11 year olds about sex in school but this guy can't hand out a drawing of a baby in the womb......really? I don't care what this nut is supporting(mostly his own ego) but I'll fight for his rights, as soon as LE feels it is justified in silencing the people.....we're all fvcked. Sorry boys but he does have a right to be there and hand out his flyers. I don't like those gawdamned hip hop street performers blasting their shit and dancing on the corner.........should we arrest them because I don't like it.......of course the real issue is that I'm not a cop, if I was I could get away with harrassing them at will.

In canada those hip hop street performers blasting their music and dancing have to pay to have a license to be there or they will be removed. Thats how we keep it off the streets. Just sayin.

I can not agree with you more. Being annoying is not a crime. Allowing the police to muzzle the voice of a citizen is going way too far.

More than 1/2 the men in my family are cops. I respect the badge but realized a long time ago my fuse is far too short to deal with the stupidity that is out there. Best left to the men and ladies that are more level headed than I.

My talents are better left to saving lives than smacking skulls!

I respect your understanding of your own limitations. My mates brother always wanted to be a cop, primarily, because he is a weapons junkie, secondarily, because he "NEEDS" to be a person of authority, and finally, he's racist and feels he needs to keep the "others" in line.....

.....thank god he never made it. the bloke is mentally unbalanced.

True, however there may have been more to the story. At one point there is a man on a two way radio outside a place of business. Not sure if he was security, an employee, or business owner. Yes, the man outside has a right to demonstrate PEACEFULLY, but if he is disrupting a place of business or causing people to assemble in a manner that impairs his business or causes patrons to be unsettled and leave, what of HIS rights? That's part of the problem sometimes with people leveraging the constitution - they cry about their rights but ignore those of other people if it doesn't serve their own purpose or agenda. It's manipulative, hypocritical, and self serving. Don't get me wrong. I'm not suggesting the police are right or wrong either way. They are human and make mistakes like any of us. It just seems that the guy in the video is hell bent on being a shit disturber and uses the constitution as a lame excuse to justify his action.

Yes he has a right to his opinion and to demonstrate but if he is being disruptive (annoying) about it in any way then he is violating the rights of others. He can't be a proponent of the constitution while ignoring the same constitutional rights of others.

Jimmy Justice is far more entertaining. He goes after cops who break laws. Sometimes catching them violating the same law they just gave someone a ticket for. That, I can watch all day.

Grandpa say me down long ago and said, don't become a cop. Go to school and study hard. So I did.

Grandpa was a traffic cop, motorcycle cop, and lead detective when he eventually retired. One of the calmest, quietest, nicest people I knew. Made me proud to be his grandson.

Yes it can be. Let me play devils advocate here. What if the parents of the students being approached sued the City because Law Enforcement did not approach the man and verbally tell him to stop harassing minors? There are reports of several complaints down at the Police Department of the man disturbing the peace and showing explicit pictures to 12 year old girls, I think the parents would have a pretty damn good case if they filed a law suit for the officers "ignoring" their complaints because the officers were afraid of losing their job due to violation of civil rights. What if these parents blew it out of proportion in court and said the man holding the sign exposed himself to these little girls and offered them sex? How would that make these officers, who chose not to do anything, look now?

Being a cop is like being a bouncer - you piss off more people than you please and every "right" decision you make is going to appear to be "wrong" to others.

none of us saw the pic to say its explicit. In court the patents would have to prove it was explicit. Also again your justifying violating a law, to protect yourself "the cops" in case some one else lies. That is a bs reason to do anything
If people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

the way the framers set up the consitution and the law, "innocent until proven guilty" was a very novel idea at the time. their intent, and much has been written about this, and if we have a lawyer in the house, correct me if i get some of this wrong, but the intent was that the framers would rather let 5 guilty criminals go free as opposed to wrongfully convict and incarcirate one innocent person.

Additionally, I'm not sure you have a clear understanding of what the definition of "harrassment" is? "Harassment is governed by state laws, which vary by state, but is generally defined as a course of conduct which annoys, threatens, intimidates, alarms, or puts a person in fear of their safety. Harassment is unwanted, unwelcomed and uninvited behavior that demeans, threatens or offends the victim and results in a hostile environment for the victim. Harassing behavior may include, but is not limited to, epithets, derogatory comments or slurs and lewd propositions, assault, impeding or blocking movement, offensive touching or any physical interference with normal work or movement, and visual insults, such as derogatory" As far as I could tell, the bloke was simply handing out literature. I think the cops overstepped, but once they did, due to arrogance (no matter how politely on camera) there was no backing down. True, I would NOT appreciate someone handing my 12 year old daughter a leaflet like that, but the damage is more or less zero. Just throw it in the trash and move one.

One has to remember, and this is vitally critical, that this is a gathering in a public place. the bloke holding the camera has just as much right to be there as anyone else. No one has the right to exclude him from this public land unless he is violating the law, and it seems he did not.

I'm not saying I like what i saw. I did not. The guy is leveraging these leaflets and these cops to hopefully get recoggnition for a viral video. He is manipulative, and I personally don't appreciate his tactics. But just because he pisses me off doesn't make him a criminal.

^^^ I agree, the guy is a real dickweed but he didn't do anything wrong. I invite circustances like this as teaching moments for my children, in this case I would have brought to the attention of my 11 year old daughter that the police were harrassing a man for sharing his opinion in a non threatening way and how that goes against the principals that this republic was built on etc. etc.

Wow did you see the next video when he asked the cop why he was parked in the bus no standing zone? He said I thought you can only park there if it is an emergency and someone's life is in danger. The cop said maybe your life is in danger. Would you take that as a threat?

That is absolutely a threat. Unfortunately, wouldn't hold in today's courts.
