NASA Rover Curiosity sends back pictures from Mars

    http://www.thestar.com/news/world/ar...s-down-on-mars

Lost in all the Chick-fil-A bullshit and the Olympics is that the rover Curiosity landed on Mars and is already sending back pictures.

If you are curious about space travel and where it is today, I suggest watching the TED Talks series Space Trek. The TED Talks are speeches from current and past scientists discussing space travel and where it currently is and where it's going. It will blow your mind, unless you are more concerned about useless shit from Wal-Mart and iPhones.

^ that is really a complex landing sequence.

on another slightly different note, regarding human space flight.
one of the main problems with human space flight is the loss of bone mass in low/zero gravity. now think about this. with all the steroids out there that can increase bone mass density, one would think that NASA would be entertaining the idea of adding steroids into their research for curing this phenemonon?

So outrageously awesome. Those guys still have some mojo. I couldn't believe how complicated the landing was when I first read about it.

I want a flying sky crane.
