    Helmet mounted cam

Has anyone used a helmet mounted cam before? I just finally ordered a gopro for my helmet.. I'm pretty excited.. I can't wait to record some training time and hope to improve on my body dynamics and targeting when I rip through my opponent.

I'll be using it on my combat helmet (or in the real world my sword helmet) My concern is it coming off its mount when a blade strikes me or when we end up grappling.. I'm getting tired of watching side line footage and I can't totally remember what happens I just react and with the adrenaline pumping, it fogs the memory

I do European martial arts.. I use longsword, polehammer, short sword and buckler, dagger, and grappling.. Not D&D or LARP.. been doing it for years and thats how I got into weight training.. Need a strong mind, body, and fighting spirit to achieve one's goal.. To be the last one standing during a two hour bout with no armor or 1hr bout in full gear

I want to watch!!!!!!! Maybe you can redesign your helm so it is inside with a slit opening lol. I would love to do that sort of thing. I've always had a fascination with hand made swords etc. If I can get more space with my next house building a forge, but would love to go to these events, and compete.

I used it racing bikes too but I eventually started mounting to the chin area of the helmet and that provided the most realistic view!!

Spywizard - Yes, like that.. I do non armor and armor. Non Armor is a bit dangerous, I broken every finger and thumbs on both hands, cracked my femur, dislocated my left shoulder twice... I actually witness someone get impaled through the arm (this is with blunt steel swords)

BlueWaffle - I was thinking about getting it mounted under my chin also, since most attacks would be focused on the sides or top of my head.. I need to wait until friday until the camera is in my hands to figure it out.

Definitely I'll post my vids here on this forum.. Hopefully would get feedback on what type of lifts and whatnot I need to focus on during my strength conditioning

So far all the people I know focus on running and boxing (or something to do with a heavybag) I do running, heavybag, weights ( I do ballistic kettlebell) Need speed and strength..
