Women who are addicted to realtiy tv
I am curious as to what other people think about this.
All my ex-gf watched was reality tv. Every city of the house wives, kardashians, teen moms, mob wives (omg those women should be put down) all of that non sense. As time started to go by I noticed she was starting to become mean and I swear this crap has an influence on how a lot of women think. They all say its their guilty pleasure.
I just dont see how back stabbing, talking bad, being mean to your supposed family and friends can be a guilty pleasure.
As a kid I got picked on pretty bad bc of my weight so I guess I am just sensitive (or need to increase my ai) to watching people just be so ****ing nasty and mean to one another.
Does anyone else think watching this shit effects people????

Yeah, we don't watch any of that crap! People get tuned into that junk and then try to imitate it in their own lives, then they wonder why everyone thinks they're flakes.

No way to explain it. Chicks are hard wired to be 'in the know!'. And that trash is on TV! Not saying I wouldn't take out the trash or anything.......

I have never watched a reality show or soap EVER. I know people (men too but mostly gals) who are addicted and some of the meanest, back stabbing and manipulative women I have met also happen to watch that crapola. COINCIDENCE?????
BTW...my life is a reality.....

This kind of crap is all my roommates fiance watches. She loves that stuff and couldn't agree more with the OP. I literally can't watch it and usually can't even be in the same room as it.
But as always, to each their own. Im not judging or care what she watches. Just not cup of tea. I'm sure she thinks the same of my shows.

This is the downfall of our society. Absolute trash. Kardasians, housewives, jersey shore, real world. All ignorant trash. Teaches our youth that this is how they are supposed to act. And the worst part is these people get paid obscene amounts of money to act this way on tv. Glorifies ignorance.
KILL YOUR TV and anyone who watchs this shit. They have no chance at life.

I watch a couple of reality TV shows, but they are all competition based and reward talent or skill...not bad behavior. I like Top Chef and Project Runway (I like clothing design, sue me) but avoid everything else.
I am currently addicted to Hard Knocks even though I have zero interest in football. I am fascinated by the process that takes great talent and turns it into a team of skilled players.

Television is such a love hate relationship. I think its terrible for our society, esp youth as mentioned. There is always something better that can be done with your time. But then again, id hate to not have tv. If there wasnt television it would make cardio at the gym so much worse than it already is. And sometimes when you come home from the gym and are winding down for the night its nice to watch something before hitting the hay.
I hate television, but I just couldn't do without it. I admit it. Just like facebook, i hate it, but I need it.

I was raised without television. My parents allowed one in the house for the first time when I was in high school. I still try to avoid it. I watch more than I should, but like to think that the things I watch are more than useless filler.

Wassup homie. Was on a long lay off the gym. Got in a scrap and ****ed up my shoulder and was out of commission for 9 months. Back in the gym since this spring, broke up with my ol' lady and just started juicing again. So I should be kicking around here til December at least hehe.

I'll take a woman addicted to reality TV, in exchange for the one in my house that can't sit still while on her phone. Walking ALL OVER the house randomly and completely oblivious to her surroundings, walking in front of the TV, literary standing in front of me like I'm not there. I throw couch pillows at her constantly. Crazy broad.

Reminds me of a chick I.met that told me she is always on her phone. Especially fb. I was like ok. We went out once. She literally the whole dam time. It was crazy, only time she stopped looking at it was when we made out but it was lame so I said see ya. And told her i can't.imagine a guy being cool with that obsession

Maybe it makes you not such a pvsy and you finally said what you needed to say. Maybe it will help your situation. Like you said it has been bottling up for a long time, not just while on tren .
Tell her you are sorry you said it but it needed said also. Hopefully it will help things improve.
BTW I dont watch any of that crap and I dont let my wife. She has started to a couple of time and I turn it off. I straight up tell her NO you wont watch that garbage.Last edited by lovbyts; 08-26-2012 at 03:59 AM.
