Circumcision
So, having a boy soon. and I don't think it's necessary or any benefit to the kid to have him circumcised. Problem is wife insists it needs to be done for hygiene reasons, which I think is a bogus reason. Recently some crap in the news of people claiming it's better to circumcise boys, because it helps prevent spread of disease, but it's all a load of shit as well. Personally I am circumcised and wish I wasn't. And I feel like it should be my sons choice if he wants to keep his foreskin, and not my place to take it from him. I understand adult circumcision is extremely painful, but I doubt he would need it unless he was one of the rare ones that can't keep it clean or get's uti's. So how do I convince my wife? I'm worried she's just going to tell the doc to do it while I'm not there or something, in which case I will become a doctor beater and a wife beater.

Go with you heart, keep him intact. He will thank you later, and if he doesn't let it be his choice to get it done when he has an opportunity to make his own decision

K how do I convince my wife? My father wasn't circumcised but he went along with circumcising all us children because if you weren't circumcised you supposedly got picked on cause you were different. Anyways, growing up hardly anyone saw my dick not that I care, but as an adult someone sees my dick at least a few times a week and I still would care less, especially since if I wasn't circumcised and someone made fun of me I would just kick him in the dick, then see who is laughing. Her reason's aren't valid to me, one she doesn't want him to have to pull his foreskin back to pee and hygiene reasons, that's really all she has said. ANd her mom is a nurse and agrees with everything main stream which makes it harder cause she is telling her we have to get it done, and always brings it up like its any of her motherfvcking business.

Ya, your right, they've proven that the hygiene arguement has no basis. Either way he's a baby, he'll never know but you cant let something tear you apart when you should be experiencing one of the best things that will ever happen to you.

Its to traumatic to and infact, they dont know how to process the pain. that is the most sensative part on a males body and they just wack it off like its nothing. Sex is so much better with it.
Its a money making business now for hospitals.

thanks, and one of my big arguments is sex is better with it on, and it's not for us to take that from him. She agreed to not do it without my permission so at least the moment won't be worried by me being scared it would just happen, but some arguing might ensue, although I want to get it out before then, for some reason she thinks we should talk to our doctor about it. Which he's a stud and I am pretty sure he will agree with me, but since when is it a doctor's choice? Most docs are mainstream want money etc and would just do it.

I don't think it's Vitaly that important. If your wife feel so strongly about it I would just let it go. I can see pros and cons for doing both ways.

How would you know this is my question????
OP is this a pro choice issue? I mean where is the argument AGAINST doing it. I fore one don't remember having it done or how much pain I may have been in. I know this. I have been to nudist resorts and would say that the majority are curcumsized. The majority who are not are European and I know that out of the women who I have polled (yes it comes up at a nudist resort ) (some pun intended)most prefer the look and feel of the curcumsized penis.

Studies have shown sex is better with it. They say the extra skin keeps the head of the penis protected which in turn makes sex feel better. Without the skin the penis rubs cloths and have time loses some sensitivity. At least that's what I read.
I can't say if they taste different since I never had a ant-eater.Realist: A person who sees things as they truly are. A practical person. The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; The realist adjusts the sails. — William Arthur Ward

I would like to know what the control for this study was. Unless you are an adult male who has had both and experienced intercourse both ways then how the hell would 1 person know what another did or did not feel. This study is BS!
Come on DSM...from a LOOKS standpoint????

I don't think I would want the tip of my penis to be more sensitive. I already get crazy with the blow off the wind sometimes!

How many of you guys are circumcised then?
This sounds 'normal' to you...
I'm not and as far as I'm Aware it's more normal to not be circumcised in the UK.....

Part of me says, play the odds. The larger percentage of US males are being curcumcised. Why make him different than MOST?
The other part of me says it's none of mine or anyone elses business cause thats your boy! You do what you want!!!!!!

If there is so much disease with uncircumcised penises then why is the US the only nation promoting it. Uncircumcised is the norm in East Europe and all around including the Muslim states as well. So It boils down to uhum Religion. If you are uncircumcised you just have to learn proper healthy bathing to keep it clean. Pull back wash release. No big deal. The kids just need to be taught at an early age on how to keep their prepuce clean. Should be no big deal. After all we were born with it. It's just that some didn't have a say on whether they could keep theirs or not since that decision was taken away from them at an early age. So it's a matter of choice by the parents, at least till the government gets involved into that part of our lives as well and decides for us. Stay tuned for that one...

Not entirely true. Of those who were circumsized at birth, how many remember the pain and trauma? That's what I thought.
I had my son circumsized. It upset me way more than it upset him to hear him crying for all of two minutes. He doesn't remember anything about it and the trauma was more severe for his daddy who felt like a total ass puting him through that.

Trauma from circumcising boys at birth are why some become gay later in life. Well except for those that are not circumcised and still turned out gay.

I know I have lots of times. Most though are in porn from Eastern Block Nations like Yugoslavia. All of belami productions is uncircumcised men. Not to mention french porn and british as well. Now American porn yes there are few men for the most part that are uncircumcised. But think about it since most men in America have been chopped there aren't many choices for the porn industry except circumcised. I think that mentality is slowly changing though. Here is an article for OP to read..
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisf...-unkindest-cut
Bottom line though is that no matter what I or anyone else says, the final decision is up to you and your wife...

decent article.
as for that argument that women like the look of circumcised penis's better, it is just because that is what they are used to seeing, and may be a decent argument, but still would rather let him decide, look or feel, which is your choice?

Don't. Let your son decide later on in life. It's HIS body, not yours, not your wife's. Why any parent would make a life altering decision on their son's PENIS is beyond me. Forgetting about pain is no excuse to inflict it on others, especially YOUR SON'S GENITALS. If a girl doesn't like you because of a tiny piece of skin that increases sexual pleasure for both you and her, that is not the kind of girl you want to be with.
"My daddy decided to let a doctor cut off my foreskin because, ummm, I wouldn't remember it and some girl might not like it later in life. Now sex isn't as pleasurable for me but it's ok, I don't remember it. Just like that time he apparently beat me when I was 6 months old, but it's ok because I don't remember it so I still love him."
