Sleep apnoea
Got diagnosed with severe sleep apnoea yesterday which explains why I'm always lethargic. I'm guessing with the machine I need that my gains at the gym should increase a lot through a good nights sleep n well hopefully everything really. Anyone had much experience on this?

my machine is coming in the mail.
but it's true. if you have poor quality rest, you will have poor quality gains.

I made too many other changes when I started using my cpap, but I made great progress from the whole sum of the changes.

Cpap worked for me for a while. But thye air started filling my body. Wake up extremely gassy. I have a leak point somewhere in my body allowing it to happen. Can't stand using it anymore. I want surgery. But it elective and no covered by insurance.

I have sleep apnea. Had jaw surgery about 7 years ago to correct it (they pulled my upper and lower jaw forward 1cm)... it helped but I actually just got a CPAP on Tuesday lol.... tough to get used to but I'm hoping it helps in the long run

Well mask makes a huge difference, not to mention if you have one that goes in your nose sort of that you replace that part every month so it remains firm. The most recent mask I got I just couldn't get enough air through it.
Other problems I have is lately I wake up with my mouth open and a deadly dry throat because all that air blowing through, humidity setting on it doesn't help, if you open your mouth and have a nose one it's going to suck. Personally I wish I had a better machine, some now reduce pressure when you exhale. Also I sometimes get air into my belly and have burps, but not that common, used to have that problem when falling asleep in class too, so can't entirely blame the cpap.
I am actually tempted to get one of those mouth guards, and see how I do with one, would be much more convenient if it works vs lugging around a cpap, and dealing with a hose and air blowing out your face so you can't face someone when you are sleeping.

I went threw 4 masks to find the one I like, I can't even feel that I have it on.. It's called the swift fx I believe.. I even tried the resmed hybrid didn't like if someone would like it I would give it away for free.. Used it 2 nights like brand new!!

Dang I have the swift fx but don't like it, I swear I can't breathe with it on, overall it's nice but not working out for me. Check this one out. I use this one and feels really good.

I have the Resmed S9 Elite unit and the Resmed Mirage FX mask (nose only). The unit doesn't make a noise and the mask is comfortable. Only issue I am having is I am getting a bit of a rash around my nose. I've been trying different mask tightness settings and it's clearly too tight.

Your mask has like 2 layers that go in the nose, for me they sometimes fold and get jacked up and stop air flow. Other than that mine sticks out a little farther which is a negative, but for some reason I just sleep better with the opus. Although lately I have been tempted to up my pressure again.

Yeah using medium on both too. Originally I wanted the resmed, but they gave me the other saying that they had better success with it, I thought no way these guys are full of it, it's got to be cheaper or something for them to get. my only issue is you need to replace the nose insert thing often, because they degrade pretty easily with use. Insurance covers a new one each month for me.
