Did/how you goals change once you started?

When I did my first cycle (and only one so far) I did it with a few things I wanted to accomplish; 1. Recovery!!! Im not 25 anymore hell Im pretty close to 45 but I do pretty athletic things, Judo, BJJ, dirt ride so on and I got tired of my body being "beat up" 2. Strength 3. Endurance and about 2% of me wanted a better "look or appearence" in no way did I have goals of being a BB or anything like that, more athletic. Eveything is still the same BUT I ended up liking the "look" way more than I thought I would, so now that Im planning my second and Im torn, I want to bulk but I also wanna keep on the lean side. Oh well I'll figure it out. Was wondering if anyone else changed they goals after starting.

My goals constantly change. As soon as I het my goal, I dont feel any different than I did before, and set a new goal. For instance now at 185 and fairly lean I dont think I look any different than when I was 155, lol. So my goals keep changing as I reach them. I also strugle with wanting to gain and stay cut. But, im getting over that, foing to bulk and maintain till next spring then do a nice cut. My imediate goal is to see 200 pounds, then cut to 185ish single digi bf by spring!!

I would have to COME down to hit 200! When they started the bet to hit 220 I was like "shit I could win now lol" really Im a normal, thin, proportionate, 220 right now (Im 6-6). I actually got my bf% about 15% or belowand have lost most definition but Im starting now to build it back up just not sure if I wanna bulk or not, IF I choose to compete (BJJ or Judo) I have to be 218# the next division is 221# to infinity I could wear 240-250 easily and still not be fat, so Im still debating what im going to do..............

I always am torn between goals. Since one of my primary goals of lifting is to get stronger, well it requires food. And then well sometimes I want to lose body fat, but it comes at a cost to the other. I haven't even done my first cycle yet, but I want to utilize it for bulking, yet I am at a point i really should be cutting again. And times when I do cut, I get sick of being weak and start eating again, I've cut for long periods of time, but never quite long enough or hard enough to look great. Done faster cuts, lost more strength, done longer cuts and maintain strength, but then it is soo draining on you for those long periods of time. Either way I am going to be serious about it and do everything right so I make progress one way or the other. been trying to maintain for the most part till my cycle coming up soon, but in 8 weeks lost roughly 10 lbs, and lifts are the same, some better, some slightly worse. So many people say don't cycle if you aren't 15% or lower, or don't try to put muscle on if you don't have room fat wise to gain a little fat. But I think I will do it anyways, and then really focus on getting to a comfortable body fat level, I mean it isn't that bad, but there are areas of my body that it bugs me.

Yeah I dont compete anymore so Im just lifting and focused on strenght/size. Throw in comping and whole other story. I was a 145er. Would shed all this weight if I were to compete. Im all for getting into lowest weight class possibe in judo/bjj/mt, etc. Thats why its so hard to blend bbing and combat sports, totally different strategies imo.

My goals as far as bigger lifts are constantly getting higher and higher with my progression. As far as weight goes I'm looking for about 10 more lbs before I begin to cut back down.

I train for fun, not a competition kinda guy, just once a year or something, been thinking about giving up competing all together and just train for fun, if I get bulked up so what, stay skinny, meh who cares. I did (to my surprise) like the way I looked even with the extra weight, I got up to 240 on first cycle and was cool with it.

Just to slow down a bit and progress over the years as injury free as possible. I'd rather do that than be sidelined for an undetermined amount of time due to my recklessness. but by the time i'm 45 i'd like to maintain 250lbs.

Hopefully my nuts will work when I'm done with this cycle, that's my goal.
