Is there a double standard here?

When a guy goes out and sleeps with an abundance of women over a short period of time, he is praised upon and looked up to as "the man" or "alpha male" by most other men.

When a woman goes out, and has a reputation for sleeping around with a lot of guys, she is labeled a hewa or skank.

Should men and women be treated the same when it comes to sexual partners? Are women supposed to act differently when it comes to men?

....I'm not going to offer my 2 cents here; I'm just looking to hear others thoughts.

Could it have something to do with most girls want a guy that is "experienced" in bed aka has been with a lot of women. Where as most men would prefer a woman who hasn't been with a lot of men.

That's very true. Even in the small town I am from , it seems to be this way. All guys want to know the ladies "number" where as guys will not give or the ladies don't want to know the guys "number" kinda funny.

This is true...my wife slept with men before me and all I did was get angry about it. She never cared about women I slept with.

All that should matter is who she is sleeping with now! Past is the past!

Men are biologically programed to want to spread their seed. Women on the other hand, tend to be more monogamous. So you typically see far more men who are "whores" and it is somewhat of a norm. When a women does it, she is looked down upon by many... It's just our society.

I have met quite a few women who most would consider a 'whore'.
However only ONCE in my life {March of this year} did I meet a bona fide female sex addict.
This woman will sleep with any man.
Race, age, looks, money---none of it matters to her.
In her case it's more of a psychological condition than her just wanting to sleep around.
As much as I love swinging, even she is too much for me.

When I was younger I cared about my number and her number. As I get older I have so many other things to worry about other than someones else past. And until we have the "we're being exclusive" conversation I assume she's sleeping with others, as she should with me.

It"s not what you do, but how you do it and how you carry yourself, as long as you lead a descent life and have a little class there is nothing wrong with having several partners in a single yr. That goes both ways.

I don't agree at all. I could really care less on how many girls another guy bangs. And if your sweating another guys numbers your not alpha.
I''ve dated strippers, was engaged to one. I don't care about numbers. If its something you worry about. To me that's insecure.
I never asked my wife her number. I did find it out after we were married. It was a hell of alot lower then i would have guessed.
