S&S has it right. PT 141 does increase libido, even in women. it can be used nasally like a nasal decongester, but the dose goes up something like 4x or 5x and at that point becomes very expensive. It works along a different pathway than a pde5i, as it works along a neural pathway, instead of a vascular pathway. both can be used synergistically btw.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bremelanotide
Bremelanotide i/ˌbrɛmɨˈlænətaɪd/ (formerly PT-141) is a compound under drug development by Palatin Technologies as a treatment for female sexual dysfunction, hemorrhagic shock and reperfusion injury. It functions by activating the melanocortin receptors MC1R and MC4R, to modulate inflammation and limiting ischemia.[2] It was originally tested for intranasal administration in treating female sexual dysfunction but this application was temporarily discontinued in 2008 after concerns were raised over adverse side effects of increased blood pressure. As of March, 2012, Palatin is conducting a human Phase 2B study[3] using a new subcutaneous drug delivery system that appears to have little effect on blood pressure.

Maybe start with some blood work and a female hormone panel. Go from there....
PT141 definitely works...

Get her BW done. A womens sex drive can start decreasing even in her late 20's. Having children can sometimes start this ball rolling. Even pre-menapausal women have hormonal issues that can affect sex drive.
We went through it and after BW her gyno put her on a combo estro/test medication....NOW...Jesus why didnt we look into this years ago?????

I saw two GYN's for blood work and both wanted to put me on birth control. Finally saw an Anti-aging/HRT doc. On HRT now for almost a year and finally feeling better than I have in probably 5 years. It's definitely been a work in progress that I'm gladly embracing. OP, FYI, I'm 36, have always had a very healthy sex drive but it has been in overdrive since starting my program.

Haha! No... no they do not. They don't want to address things the way my doc did. He's a bodybuilder and knows the body very well and understands to a great degree of what my body was/is going through. He also knows me from seeing me at my old gym and saw the changes that my hormone imbalance caused. Pm me anytime Girly!! I've been wanting to start a thread in the HRT section and should probably get started soon. Hopefully it could help some ladies around here

let me know if you start a thread. it would help the gals and all the "visitors" too. lol

I think here would be best as I am guessing this info could be usefull to many.
I have mentioned my wifes situation in a cpl of threads specificaly as it relates to HRT and more specificaly as it relates to female labido. My wife is 41 although she passes for low 30's any day. She has a GREAT gyno nthat helped her on a 2 year journey to lose 80lbs and she looks fantastic. We have been together for nearly 23 years and married almost 21.
She was sexually active before me (as was I lol) and we met as tenagers. She had a very strong labido. Sex has always been a very important part of our relationship. Maybe more importnat than some would say it should be lol.
She gave birth to our daughter almost 18 years ago. Sex remained important but we were in different places in our lives and were not connected to the degree we are now. I was focused on my carreer and other activities like groups and organizations I blonged too and she was the PRIMARY parent raising our young daughter and at one point trying to start her own business. Sex was still good but not the way it was when we were lustful teenagers and newlyweds.
Fast forward to 5-6 years ago..maybe longer. She decided she had enough of feeling bad about her appearance and started a new lifestyle. She works her ass off now and as I said lost 80lbs and found a confidence in herself she may have never had before. The sex was suddenly through the roof! Over the last few years it has started to taper off. Don't get me wrong, when we had sex it was great sex, I mean porn star style sex. The problem wasn that she didnt care enough about sex or think about sex enough to consider initiating. She never really fantasised or thought about it often. Once it was happening she was all in like Poker Stars lol. She also was having difficulty showing arousal (you know what I mean). It took way more stimulation than it used to and things would be like the Saraha within a short time.
This caused alot of turmoil between us. Mens egos are very sensative and I was crushed to think my wife didnt think of me sexually and that I wasnt turning her on enough to have the "desired affect". After way to much fighting I powered up the comnputer and spent a good week or two researching female hormones and labido. All the sympoms pointed towards Low E and Low TEST. She agreed to see her Gyn and ask since he is all about a healthy sex life. He immediatly prescribed her Estro/Test meds and within about 6 weeks...Holy CHRIST. I have been A) thinking of hiding out somewhere every cpl days B) why didnt we look into this along time ago.
She says she just feels a way she hasnt felt since she was quite young and it has done everything we wanted it too. god bless her GYNO lol.
Anyhow..I wanted to give you the background and just asked how your situation compared? When did you notice the labido heading South? What difference has it made for you physically and mentally? I am sure others would love to hear your story as well. I am sure there are a ton of women who chalk low labido up to part of aging! Poor things!

So glad to hear that things turned around for her. And you're a good hubby for taking the initiative to do some research to help her (and you) . I know how imperative it is to keep intimacy in a relationship healthy. 5 AM comes very early so I'll jump back on tomorrow night and give a brief description of my experience, etc.

LOL no worries. I need to be reminded to keep in line just like anyone else once in a while. Most of the ladies who are here know me more or less and we have no issues. I still stay in touch with some who dont frequent very often anymore. They know a lot of what I say is tongue in cheek and not a personal attach.

I will get you the name of it. It's a combo estro/test tab taken once a day. Very cheap. Very effective! The make it in low dose and higher dose. Most do just fine on low dose since womens test levels do not need to be very high.
By the way...i am a bit of a labido enhancing drug as well so she has a dbl dose lol....you started it lol
