    We're Having a Girl!!

    I am so damn excited right now I wanted to share it with the world..We just got back from the OB Doc and found out we are having a little girl!!! I don't know if I have ever felt this excited and scared shitless at the same time in my life!!!

    Just wanted to share this with anyone I could and since there are some grea people on here, I couldn't think of a better place!!!

    Her name is going to be Madilyn..It is a name very dear to me and my wife so it has stuck..Going to call her Maddy unless she is in trouble!! Then it's MADILYN!!!!!

    Her due date is October 1st..Mine is the 18th so if she is a few weeks late that would be okay..

    Madilyn Elizabeth!!! Her middle name is my deceased mother's first name so it is special as well..

    Congrats Doc!! Will she be ya'lls first? There will be nothing in this world more precious than Daddy's little girl, trust me on this. Oh and remember one peice of advice.....you can never spoil your child too much. One more thing....enjoy sleeping now while you can! Cause after she's born it will be several months before you get a full nights sleep again.

    Congratulations!! Is she your first child? I have a three year old daughter who is absolutely wonderful. Having a child is an extreme life-changing event. You will experience a love for her that you never have felt before. Oh and like Big Texan said, get as much sleep as you can now, because you will long for it when she is born! That is no joke!!

    Thanks for all of the kind words..One of the many reasons I love this board..

    And yes, she will be our first child..We never talked about having any children up until last year because we were both so busy and consumed with our careers that a child was never factored into the equation..We both started to realize we were getting older..I'm in my mid 30's and she is 26, so we decided to take the plunge and I can tell you it's been the happiest day of my life!!!

    And the sleep thing is the number one thing I hear from people..Good thing I have been off for over a month sitting around doing very little..I am definitely going to enjoy my free time until she is born!! Thanks All!!!

    I'm truly happ for you. I can't express to you the emotions that will tear through you as they placeher in your arms, just remeber.....you won't break her. I was terrified to hold my little girl when she was first born.
