Have you ever lived any place else to compare it to? I found alot of texans who said its the greatest state ever never really spent much time outside of texas

I've lived in various cities in California, Ohio, Kentucky, Nevada and Texas.
I always called Texas home. Dallas an Houston sucked big time. So do all the small towns like kerville, Wichita Falls, etc... But I have yet to live anywhere that compares to Austin.
Cincinnati was the absolute worst city I've ever lived in.

nightlife sucked, nice restaurants had shitty hours. people are very fake, lots of 30k millionaires. Health care sucked. Job market not good. City unprepared for winter weather that they do get every year.
and i'm sorry the lakes are not like an ocean and beach

Yes. San Marcos was a dry county.. It think it was south of Austin... You'd probably hate Missouri also.

I do have Indiana plates on my car and guys at gas stations tell me they "don't take kindly to northerners" I always inform them they need people down here that can read

i lived in Addison for 3 years. Yes there are rich people not saying that. But there are tons of people not even close to it and think they are. AKA the 30 thousand dollar millionaires. And that was a term i never heard until i moved to Dallas. People there say it.

Really unknown, but towards the end, he was attacked and beat up by a group of guys after talking to them about drug abuse and the dangers. His usual awareness speeches... They found him knocked out and he was taken to the hospital, was there for 2 weeks and finally released. His health was declining, even before the attack... he went into a rehab center for about a year, then he needed brain surgery. weeks after surgery he died.

shit man. unreal. Many people dont know that Austin can be VERY dangerous down town. It blows my mind to see HOT drunk chicks walking around the streets at night by themselves. I know some cops down there and they say the random beatings are constant and severe, but the media keeps it all under wraps. Thnks for the update brotha... sad to hear that
