Hurrican Sandy
Starting to really sink in how much of what i grew up with is gone.
My mom luckily is ok but still with out power. I have friends that lost everything, house cars and had to be rescued by boat.
I grew up in seaside. Hell the roller coaster you see in the ocean. I lost me virginity under that pier. My first job was on the boardwalk.
We used to get a shore house for the summer and party after hours granted it was years ago but that house is literally gone now.
Staten Island is destroyed, Its amazing what happened to it. My wife and i got married in Staten Island. If people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

Gixx,
Im sorry to hear about the chaos and turmoil you guys have had to endure. It must horrible, i can only sit back and imagine. Good to hear your mom is ok
Hopefully power will return to normal shortly. This whole storm scene has just been nasty to say the least. I watched some updated YouTube vids and it's horrible how much damage it has caused. I didn't think it was that bad but i has been devastating to parts of Jersey and New York. Very sad..

It is horrible to say the least. Lots of natural disasters happening in the last decade. Makes one wonder what is actually happening in our atmosphere.

it's all good. bloomberg is going forward with the ny marathon on sunday so all the police, generators, and other resources must not be needed elsewhere...

I believe the race starts on staten and I doubt they've even found all of the bodies that are still in houses out there. saw reports of people eating out of dumpsters. people waiting for hours in lines for 10 buck of gas. wtf is going on up there? how are you going to run a race with that going on feet away?
