    Buffering

    WTF is up with this buffereing stuff?
    what does it mean?? what causes it? prevention?

    I replaced a laptop thinking thas what it was, but evn on new laptop its faster but still buffers.

    and not everything does it?
    makes me wanna go crazy.

    It is related to the speed of your Internet connection, if ur connection is fairly slow latency occurs. Example, u click a link to watch a video which is 20MB in size, which is say 2 minutes in length. If your connection is fast enough to download the 20MB within 2 min, then no problem. If ur connection can only download 10MB per 2 minute (and the video is 2 min) the video needs to stop, ur computer needs time to "buffer" or download more of the video data in order to continue playing the 2 min video clip.

    Low definition video/audio will be less effected than higher def stuff.

    A slow computer with a hi speed Internet link will not be as badly effected as a fast computer with a slow Internet connection.

    ok, so i just ran some test in my area-
    i shod be at leat 8mbs download--and 1mbs upload

    i epically failed--.963 download .948 upload--

    decided to give time warner a call and fix--apt is on wed.

    Is that a 96k flex dial up connection you got? Lol. I have Verizon as my IP, like them way better than Comcast.
