I hear he is pretty cool.
He was really cool. Just like he is in the YouTube videos. Answered everyones questions and shook everybodies hand.
Phil's down to earth. I hung out with him last year for a bit after the O (2011) at XS in Vegas. Really nice guy. Easy to talk to.
Sweet. I went to meet him last year when he was doing an appearance in Oregon. It was on a day I had to work so I got up early to drive about an hour away to meet him. I was the First one there...it turns out Phil's plane had not yet landed..I had to leave to get to work and never saw him.
I run into Jay Cutler at the grocery store every once in a while. Those pros are WIDE...although they are never as tall as I expect. They look like such giants in the magazines.
I have never heard anyone say anything bad about Heath. He seems like a great guy.
pretty jealous op,
hes bulking up BIG time since the O, dude is massive (obviously)
totally agree with the down to earth comments. He had nothing bad to say about his competition either. Just an all around good guy. Although he did talk some smack about jay lol. Said when he signed his contract for the next O, Jay was there signing his to and he signed it as "5 time Mr Olympia"so Phil said he signed his as "threepeat". He said everyone is best friends for the most part but the fvck with each other a lot.
Lol.....Jay wants the crown back. He complains/jokes that Phil stole it from him.Originally Posted by Armykid93
2013 should be great. Some big contenders:
1. Phil
2. Kai
3. Jay
4. Evan
Phil is better in my opinion. But I like Kai a lot to. Mostly because of where he comes from and where he has been up until recently even being a world class athlete.Originally Posted by MuscleInk
Phil did have a lot to say about the media. Said it was frustrating how cup stacking gets more attention on espn than any bodybuilding show.
I've met a bunch of them as well. You just can't appreciate their size in the magazines. You have to see them in person.
Yes sir! I met Dorian Yates and Ronnie Colman the same night. Ronnie had a bit of a chip on his shoulder (that night anyway) but Dorian was a great guy.Originally Posted by kelkel
That so true..when I met Jay, I couldn't get over how huge his arms an chest were. He was able to block my whole are out with his bad bicep lolOriginally Posted by kelkel
Quick story MI. Been to several Arnold's. First one me and a buddy went to was either the first or second Arnold. Plane late getting us there due to weather. Staying at main hotel with everyone. Front desk gave our room away even though we paid. Mgr came out, gave us each a key to the elevator (inside elevator there's a key slot above room buttons) and told us it's the last room in the place. Put the key in, turn it and then hit the room button.
Holy Shiat! We were on the Penthouse level with Arnold, Lorimer, Franco, wives, Zane, Everson, everyone. Ate breakfast up there with them several days as it was all free in the one main room. Really great to meet and talk in a relaxed environment. Never forget it.
That's awesome! I can't even imagine how cool that would beOriginally Posted by kelkel
That's the shit right there Kel!!!!Originally Posted by kelkel
Seeing Ronnie, Phil, an Dorian at the night club in Vegas was a surprise and I'm pretty sure there weren't many people other than myself and my buddies who recognized them. We didn't get to spend much time with each of them (10-15 mins each maybe) so certainly not as cool as your experience!
StPete mentioned that he's had dinner with a few of the pros and those guys eat enough to feed a small country! Lol
Nice. Glad to you around armykid.

Thanks. Glad to be back on the forum. Life got quite busy with moving across the country after AIT lolOriginally Posted by lovbyts
Definitly cool stuff. Second time there at main hotel ended up meeting Dorian and Ed Coan. Neat x 2.
lol what did Ed Coan look like?Originally Posted by kelkel
They probably get bothered by people who don't even know them lol they are pretty freaky to see in personOriginally Posted by Honkey_Kong
That too. I'm actually amazed that most of these athletes/celebrities are as cool to the people that meet them as they are. I know I would've become sick of that shit real fast. I mean, when it gets to the point where you can't even run to the fvcking grocery store without somebody trying to meet you or ask for an autograph, it's a nightmare. You're basically a prisoner to your house or your place of work.
Yeah Phil Heath actually talked for a long time with an amateur bb who came to see him, he obviously wasn't anywhere near Heath but for an 18 year old he looked good. That would irritate me most I think. Having every amateur with a dream come up and ask for a contract lolOriginally Posted by Honkey_Kong
That's what impressed me. He told the guy to wait after and idk what he said but i'm sure he was giving him one in one advice, which is so coolOriginally Posted by Honkey_Kong
Trying to post a pic of the signature on my belt and a pic I took of Heath. Let's see of my phone works with me lol
