    Sergio Oliva Dies at 71

Reports are kidney failure. Apparently he has been ill for some time. A bodybuilding icon.

I'm always interested in how bodybuilders check out but more so the 40 and 50 year old or younger ones. At 71 theres no way to even speculate if it was age or what... thats pretty old to me. Two of my role models Stallone and Schwarzenegger have been juicing since forever and are still going strong. There are plenty of examples of people who have checked out early but I chalk them up to abusing aas, mixing it with diuretics and rec drugs, etc.

I didn't mean disrespect if anyone took it that way I apologize. I love his physique a lot more then the beasts of today.

As for 71 I do not think that is old but avg in america I believe is 74.

I didntsee disrespect. I wondered the same honestly. I always do in these cases, but he lived a long time for being what he was, a beast! He was one of the best, no doubt about it.

Expected life span of a male born today is in the high 70s, but life expectancy for a man born in 1940 was in the low 60s...so he did pretty well.
