Go to the lumber yard and get it its own piece, then spray hot pepper on the chewed area.

crate train ur dog dude! mine loves his crate. its like his space and i dont have to worry about him. he stays in the yard all day (petsafe wireless pet containment system) and i bring him in at nite and he stays in his crate and sleeps. loves it in there and i dont have to worry! it also helps house break him as well. its a win-win!

Agree with 405,crate training is the way to go. I don't even have to close the door on the crates for my dogs. My dogs have free run of the house but spend a lot of time in their crates.

about 300bucks but it allows u to keep the dog in the yard without a fence or wires. u may wanna wait til the pup is a little older so itll understand whats going on. u have to train it with the receiver collar on beep and flags around the perimeter until the pup gets it. then u can change the collar to difft levels of static correction (shock). very effective and a lot cheaper than a fence!
in the meantime the crate is for indoor containment.
chek petsmart for the wireless pet containment. brand: PetSafe

it needs more walks and way more toys.
find the gummy "nylabones".
it's either bored or has nothing to chew on. puppies need to chew.

Puppies chew...just what they do! They do it because of teething and boredom. Give them something else to focus on and plenty of healthy toys to chew on. Although being puppies they will ignore the toys and chew a table leg.
I love crate training...although I prefer the solid plastic crates as opposed to the wire ones. Puppies can break off teeth on the wire crates rather easily. It gives them a den type of feeling that they rather enjoy. Makes housebreaking a breeze!

yah, all my dogs are crate trained. i trust them all %100 tho.
how can you not trust this face:
LOL
when he was a puppy, i heard a "bang pow crash" and lots of horsing around in the hallway. I walk out of the room, he just sits down and looks at me like "what?"
so then i asked if he did it...he talked back pretty loudly :
puppies are awesome.Last edited by Nicotine; 11-16-2012 at 10:42 PM.

About a month after I got my pup he started chewing holes in the middle of walls, I have no idea how he did it, but he would chew on a lot of stuff (including my girlfriends shoes) but he grew out of it. That wasn't even the worst, had a dog that we kept in the kitchen when we weren't home she destroyed all the cabinets and chairs I didn't like that dog lol

my dog loves rawhide and pig ears. i keep my shoes by the laundry room door and if hes out of his crate im watching him like a hawk so i dont worrry about him eating shoes. he has never expressed any interest in them either.

You can find a crate for around 100-125 if you look around online. petcratesdirect.com is a good place to start. The good old kong mentioned above is also great for hyper dogs. Stuff with treats and peanut butter throw it in the crate and your good to go for a while.
