What's up HIT'ers!!!
Been quiet a few for.me here.
Haven't even been reading that much lately. Life really.got in the way for a few.
Employees quiting at work with no notice. Assistant needing unscheduled time off. Thanksgiving was the busiest day of the year for us. I cook 900# of turkey. Not counting everything else.
Just been a hassle recently, but what can you do.
This week. Monday tried the gym, but stopped after back stiffness.....came home and about 30 mins. Back completely seized up on me. Every little movement shot pains in me. Started vomiting, which ended up me thinking it was stones. And pain was bad enough I went to er.
After few test, and me explaining.my history, it ended up just being my back. Not.sure what about it. Explained to er doc I was turned down for mri for my back issue. So he said he could get it approved by insurance no problem. So I took his word for it. And got it done.
Tomorrow got my first appt with a neruo. Actually it's m y wife surgeon who just did her herniated disc surgery. So feel good about him.
I'm still in good amount of pain.
Went to gym did very light and easy arm routine. After having over week off.
Hopefully after tomorrow have some answers and I won't be that afraid to hit it hard again soon
Miss you guys and this thread. Hopefully.make.my return soon. Z
Hope all.is well here with everyone

Here ya go Clarky. Timed my cold meds well, had another cup of coffee in the thermos and DESTROYED IT!
Triceps
Machine dips: 2wu, 2ws w/ dd on last
Pressdowns: 1wu, 2ws w/dd on last
Skull crushers: 2ws
Single arm machine extension: positive, positive assist & negatives to fail.
Delts
Machine laterals: 3 wu, 2ws w/dd on last
Front raises: 1ws w/ dd
Upright rows w/ low cable: 1 wu, 2ws w/dd on last
Think I was able to go a plate higher on machine laterals & pressdowns, felt really strong. Only 3 wks into blast w/test c, seems too soon but won't argue.
Good luck Sfla! Cuz on T? OMG, let my muscle dysmorphia just continue to get worse LOL.Last edited by Proximal; 12-05-2016 at 07:44 PM.

Anytime. It is some good advice from Sfla though to go slow with things. You need to assess how your doc will be with your request. That said, if it's all he offers over time(even with you educating him) and he won't come around to how you feel you should be treated then move on.

Don't just ask right off the bat cuz, get to know him talk about injections and stuff, so he knows you know what your doing. Then once you have a good relationship with him, drop it in that you can or would like to do it yourself at your app so he can see. And yes 2x wk makes a big difference.

1 set of crunches
WG pulldown w/ overhand grip- 2 w/u, Work-7+ - 3+ - 1+ with a slow 10 count hold on partials.
Parallel grip pulldown- 1 w/u, Work-6+ - 2+ - 1+ w/ a slow 10 count neg on partials.
Smith supported rows- 1 w/u, Work- 4+ - 2+, drop, 3+ w/ a slow 10 count neg. on partials.
Low pulley rows w/ "V" handle- Work-9+ - 3+ - 2+ w/ an incredibly painful slow neg on last partial.
Deads- 2 straight sets at a light weight just to get a little stretch going and blood moving.
45 minutes not including crunches.
Legs are still absolutely smoked. I don't believe there is a single muscle in the upper legs or core that squats doesn't activate/engage. Still wonderfully sore but not in a bad way. I did drop 6 lbs. this past month which isn't horrible considering my lifts have been semi-sporadic, however, I have been eating damn clean. Maybe a tad more than I should, but damn clean.
I think I will try to pair up lifting days and go to 2 on, 1 off if I can keep myself going like that. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I'll be getting something done in the new year, what though i have no idea, it will be a half sleeve ish as i have something on my forarm that am not keen on. It will be something to do with my father just black though, again don't know where to start i'll have to have a talk with the artist first.

I've got to close in my left elbow and then I potentially see a more black and grey @ ribcage/oblique area.
I've always liked Doré's classical prints. My back piece is roughly based off elements of my current avatar and is from neckline to asscrack and takes up my entire back, and the fat that goes along with it. It's a print he did for Dante's Inferno. Most of the stuff you saw on my arm is from random Doré' works. I just need to close in the elbow which should be a breeze to tie together(and grow more delts, outer bicep, triceps, forearm, etc.).
The wife asked me to get something more "positive" for my right side, preferably something from a Bible.
Soooooo, I found this old Doré illustration that I plan to possibly incorporate into the rib piece. It will take a bit of room and will only be able to use bits of it to maintain detail, probably no more than the lower right hand corner?.
When I showed to her, she just shook her head and "Damn, I wasn't expecting that to be an illustration in a Bible".
“The vision of the valley of dry bones†by Gustave Doré from “The Holy Bible with Illustrationsâ€
Edit: Sorry, everyone, I got completely off.topic. I'm tired.and was.thinking out loud via the Internet).
Bedtime for me. Plan to lift.again tonight.Last edited by almostgone; 12-06-2016 at 11:59 AM.

Delts - lots of rear delt movements(higher reps) as it's very weak on both positive and negative now just gotta take my time warming up and feeler sets....and work as much blood in those smaller muscles as possible
-Seated side laterals(using a shorter ROM due to ISO the rears better)
2warm ups +feelers
2w DD(higher reps) s/s'd into standing bent over(hands in back part of bells) again shorter ROM to hit those rears more directly)
2w DD
- Rev grip front raises - most ex's were higher reps
1w 10+/RP 5+ RP 3+
- seated high rope pully row(rears/& traps) - holding top of contraction for 2-3sec on higher reps
2w + 2RPs higher reps
- Rev cable flys(I gotta away from this ex and it's great for ISO your rears(if in right position your just using your rear delts I'll stick with this and seated high pully rows!
2 working drop + RP
- Rev hammer strength press(shorter ROM but I stretched on way down during warm ups - felt good once built back up to where I need to be I'll switch to smith front presses
2warm ups + feelers
1w DD + RP
I'll hit traps w/back - decent session... sure know I have lots of work ahead of me - can't wait to turn fuckin heads!

I took this year off from anything new, but will schedule soon for next year. I have some images in mind for my arms. I just have light black ink on my arm, it's my artist's own mix - calls it (and sells it) gangster grey. Very cool you're thinking of having something for your father done.
AG, really dig the image in that link - plus it's really cheery, bright and positive - surprised your wife wasn't ecstatic Seriously though, very nice image.
I'm looking a bit more bulky, and my pump yesterday shocked me in how much my t-shirt was stretched out - I mean, I felt kinda "big". This is a new experience for me. You guys ever waver between sacrificing size for definition?
