I once went to Vegas for a holiday and to train of course I spent everyday in Golds and I had guys coming up to me in there asking me who I was and where do I train ect. It was probably one of the best feelings to because these guys were big dudes and they were asking me stuff and I had been steroid free for close to 4 years at the time so it was an amazing feeling. Maybe new face and all that but everyone was friendly and watch me train out of the corner of their eye. Great times..........I think when I got home I went back on cycle after being steroid free for years I was that stoked lol...

    Lolol that's awesome

The closest I ever got to that was when I was mistook for a celebrity. I took this HOT blonde out to a club in NYC. I knew the guy that ran VIP there so we got up there free. As we were leaving one o the bouncers came up to us and says "can I shake your hand? It's a real pleasure to have you here sir. Do you have plans to come back?"

The look on the blondes face was priceless lol

So chest for me yesterday. Much more efficient workout for me. Came in at around 40-45 minutes. Quite sore today, so what does that tell me. Just tryin' to work hard.

    Flat DB bench (3 sets)
    Decline BB bench (3 sets)
Hammer press machine (3 sets/ 2 of which I utilized RP)
Cable flyes (3 sets/ 2 of which I utilized RP)
RIP define the above a bit more please. Are they all working sets? If so, you have to work toward lessening the amount and increasing the intensity via RP, drops, more weight, etc.

    Back this morning

Warmed up with hammer strength pull overs just to get blood going

    Db rows
    1 feel 65#
1 working 90#s for 6...( I think I did R&P right, please correct me if im wrong) after the 6 reps, still holding the weight, I took 10-15 seconds breather, and got 2.5 more reps totaling 8res. no drop

    Seated close grip rows
    1 feel 165#
1 working 210# and the same system for R&P above total of 8 reps

    Wide grip pull downs
    1 feel 145#
1 working 180# and dropped to 145# totaling 10 reps

    Standing lat pull downs.
Did 2 sets with 55# holding at lowest point and squeezing.

Wanted to do tension deads but finace was with me today. She has herniated discs (recently having tingling and numbness in legs) So we didn't do them. Will do next week.

First time trying R&P, hoping I understand it correctly. Workout felt great either way.

and I know its been coverd in other threads. But I do use straps for back. Its this hindering my gains?

A drop after the RP may have worked well if possible.

Straps are fine. They allow more weight to be used for a longer period of time.

I love straps. Actually I've moved to the hooks. With the rubber grips on pulldowns or the hammer strength machines you can't tighten straps worth a damn. Hooks hook.

Kel, typically the first two are warm up sets. But, like that recent workout, if i do two sets using RP, it's one warm up set and two working sets. Does that make sense? Is this overkill? Should I focus instead on lifting more weight?

Ok, it just wasn't clear. It appeared to be 3 working sets and I was hoping to get the intensity up and sets reduced. Two sets is not overkill. Plenty of times I'll do one straight heavy set followed by another set incorporating RP/drops. Gotta train how you feel and each day can be a bit different. Today was for me and I'll post about it later.

In time you'll be able to get by with one brutal set as you get more in tune to this style. Your body and mind will tell you when!

wow..just wow. Hard to believe they aren't pro. I have seen pro's much smaller than that before. Those are the physiques I'm looking for...you know the one's that just leave you speechless and in awe.

Another reason to keep eating and training....and that other stuff we do.

Thanks guys, it was a few years ago though. If you notice the peak of the biceps you can see bruises that's were I continuously injected into the inner and outer biceps when I was on a cycle once. I think it that shot there was a fair amount of prop floating around in each peak. You know your not well in the head when you injected into bruises lol.

Marcus. Your thoughts on training HIT with a cold? It would weaken the immune system more ? To train or not to train? I ask because 300 children trying to ride Thomas the Train with me gave me a dang cold.

    Leg/Abs

    Legs:
    smith machine squat
    145x12 warm up
    225x10
315x3, RP 3 more.. feeling spent on my first movement

    Leg press:
    450x10
720x3, RP.. one more.. I feel like if I attempt another I'll hurt myself

    dumbell lunges
    60'sx10
    90'sx4, RP.. two more

    Extension
Cant remember the weight but only one set, heavy then drop to failure.

    Standing calf raises
    130x15 warm up
315x8, drop to 240 to failure

I really need to work on my time spent in the gym, particularly on leg day. Legs and abs both in an hour flat but wanted to keep it to 45 mins.

The pain I get in my legs supercedes the pain in any other body part, and I procrastinate a bit before the next set. Will continue to work on this.

Also, I think this thread should win an award. I'm not aware of any annual thread awards but we should be able to vote on it. We could call it the PACE (Physical Achievement and Continuing Education) Award.. just a thought.

Legs tonight ohhh the release of endrophines they are truly spectacular at giving you as CT Fletcher would say that mother fcking high you get off weights love it.

Tonight started with 3 warm up sets and then really heavy working set with rest pause for one set then two drops and forced with negs getting off the leg press waa hilarious.

Then onto squats one feel set and then head long into it nothing crazy heavy as leg press took it outta me tonight but went nice and low and slow with the reps concentrated on feeling the muscles contract on this

Then lunges really love these they rip the shit outta you and make your legs burn.

Then leg extensions and hamstrings just as finishers.

Then wobbled to the car my leg was spasming on the clutch tonight lol

    Legs today:

    Squats:

1 real heavy, got a good amount of reps but knee was getting aggravated near the end so racked it early. Thought about a drop or RP but decided to wait a minute and see how the knee felt. Dropped a little weight and did one more set, no drop or RP. Felt better on the knee this time.

Went with heavy static lunges on smith instead of vertical pressing to ease up on my knee. Two sets, 10-12 reps. These are done one leg at a time, no movement other than up and down. Think one leg squat, just your foot is much further forward.

Extensions went well, two sets, last with double drop:

Seated leg curls: two sets, RP and drop on last
Usual standing and seated calf work cause you can never get them too big!

Had to listen to my knee today and alter things a bit but that's what it's all about. There's always something hurting somewhere, it just changes location frequently.

I recently started doing that with bb rows. I hit 6-8 then put it down then wait till I can do more and it kicks my ass. During that little rest I feel my back literally pump up and that's wen I go again, because man that burn is amazing!

What do you think your bf is ? Looking at today's leg pics ...... damn man.

Tell me your abs aren't shredded and veiny like the rest of you.

Your conditioning on a normal day is better than most before a comp.

You have to do one next year.
