Wanted to let you all know I got in a pretty bad accident on Friday on my way home.

I was working, reading emails like an asshole, and crashed into someone going over 60mph. Jeep is totaled (they haven’t officially told me yet but it would be a miracle if they didn’t, three airbags deployed, front frame is pretty crushed). I got a little banged up but I’m ok, no one else was hurt thank god

It was my fault, and I’ve been pretty bad with being on my phone while driving. Plenty of recent warning signs that I just ignored.

Committed to the fam and myself that I won’t be doing that anymore and I need to stick to it, just not worth it

Just wanted to let you all know so I feel like by tell you, there's another layer of accountability there

Shit, Igi. If others didn't get hurt and you're good, it's a cheap lesson to take home and to share with others.

No injuries. The guy I hit was fine thank god. I got punched the face with an airbag, cut my arm, leg and injured my foot a bit but nothing major at all… I’m fine [emoji1374]

Absolutely.. I need to fall on my sword with this and do better for sure. Really mad at myself for being so stupid. I’m on the road for about three hours a day so I do it constantly. I always worry about what’s going on at work and will otherwise lose a lot of time and productivity I typically have on the road but it’s not worth the risk to others or myself

Holy shit man. Glad you are ok and the other person is also.

We're all guilty of fcking about with our phone while driving especially when you are so contact able with modern phones.

I've come close to wiping myself out a few times thankfully some sense just made me check and I've avoided them.

Glad your good man airbags are no joke when you get hit by them.

Hey bro yeah it sucks but lucky it wasn’t worse. Being on the road three hours a day, I almost feel compelled to work because otherwise, it’s lost productivity and I’m already working into the night sometimes since I spend another couple hours at the gym most nights. I’m just going to have to do better and figure out another way to be productive during that time.

    Hope you’re well D.

    Jesus man glad you're good.

That level of driving is long man and it takes its toll too.

I think theres no option really bar to pull over from when you were here last you're as productive as can be.

I'm great man training and working mainly have a few jobs to do on the house.

Hit 244lbs this week and leanish for my size so happy out. The work gym got 120lb dbs and 132lb dbs also got the 120s for reps the other day for chest

you and other driver are blessed to walk away [emoji1317]

Precovid I was in a van pool. Only the driver couldn’t be productive.

    Any mass transit options?

Any option to telework 2 or 3 days a week? Just 2 days would give you back most of a day.

hey GGR thanks yes 100%. I do have a telework option that i should exercise a bit more. I do it less because I tend to be more productive in the office but may need to find a better balance.

Good thinking and thank you for the insightful advice!!

Ouuuch… actually feels good and really loosened up. Still a lot of work to do here.. my back is very locked up and working toward releasing all that tissue, promoting better separation, releasing toxins, overall improved function and aesthetics. Really excited about the benefits of gua sha and plan on doing it often throughout prep (starts 8/1)

Scraping really breaks up tight and sticky tissue. I've had several sessions in the past. Hamstrings were extremely interesting!

    How are you feeling, Igi?

I’m really excited about the process. This is my third session, still need to hit some abs and obliques, but I’ve done legs chest shoulders back and it’s an amazing feeling. Already improved range of motion. Will be doing this all through prep and hopefully beyond

Feeling good man, mind is right and officially in prep mode next week. Heading to the beach tomorrow for a couple days to unwind and then all business

Carpal tunnel surgery in both hands completed today. A little sore, but not unbearable (yet).

    Pain relief as follows:
    500 mg acetaminophen up to 6 times/day
800 mg ibuprofen up to 6/day

Respectively, my liver and kidneys are going to love me.

Wash them down with some extra moonshine and the liver will forget all about it. Good luck with your recovery.

Thanks, Cuz. Fortunately, it feels better than it looks in the pic. I'm guessing he did a nerve block injection or something as part of the surgery. No pain med scripts, just 500 mg of acetaminophen and 800 mg of ibuprofen up 6x/ day.

About the only addition to TRT is 1.8 iu of Serostim. I can't do any pressing movements, so the wife has been loading plates on my leg machines and I've been walking the back roads.

I think I could load the plates myself, but she tends to worry.

Is that pain medication totalling 500/800 broken into six doses or actually that much 6x per day?

    That would tough.

6x per day. Today is the last day, then it drops to 500 mg acetaminophen 6x/day (3g) and 220mg naproxen 3x/day (660mg) if needed until my appointment.

I'm glad to be dropping the naproxen, that stuff keeps my guts working overtime. I'll see how I feel in the morning. I may not even need the acetaminophen.

Out of work for 4-6 weeks, but should be able to handle reasonable weights without any issues by then. Some people that have sedentary jobs go back to light duty in a few weeks.

My hands feel better already, Cuz Still some numbness, but the 24/7 pain and tingling has diminished greatly.

I probably could've gone back @ 4 weeks since my dominant hand wasn't quite as bad. Surgeon said he could do both hands at once, which sounded good to me.

Surgeon also said it could take up to 6-8 months to see the complete results; my tendons are more coarse than what he usually sees and things were really packed in tight.

I encourage anyone that is need of the surgery to find a good surgeon and have it done.

My coworker who is around 60 had it done not both? Just one. And he said they actually had to go in his elbow and steal some tendon tissue to fix his wrist if im not mistaken not 100 on that though. He also told me and its been close to year, that he has some numbness that wont go away. I do believe he tore it off the bone tho, it wasnt carpel tunnel complications. Anyway, looks like you’re already doing good with it. Prayers brother.

Ugh ...that's sounds rough. He must have damaged a tendon badly or something if they robbing some tendon from his elbow? That's just nasty. My procedure is a walk in the park compared to what he had done.

The guys at work asked me why was I doing both hands at once and how was I going to manage cleanup after dropping a deuce. ( Sorry, GGR. I should've filed a disclaimer. )

I told them as far as having 2 wrists repaired instead of 1 wrist, I preferred it that way so I would get my regular pay while taking care of both wrists ( property taxes will be here before you know it).

Then for the bathroom issue, I asked them how many of them cram their whole hand in during cleanup.

I told them as far as having 2 wrists repaired instead of 1 wrist, I preferred it that way so I would get my regular pay while taking care of both wrists ( property taxes will be here before you know it).

Then for the bathroom issue, I asked them how many of them cram their whole hand in during cleanup.
I’ve been preoccupied with life and jumped on today! We all poop! [emoji38] Never considered how to clean up! [emoji15]

I wasn’t sure what to expect from carpel tunnel surgery and incision less than anticipated! Looks like you heal quickly too!

Enjoy this season which was meant for a reason and purpose!

I’ve had a few surgeries and am my own worst enemy - impatient! It never works and only delays recovery!

    Cheers to a speedy recovery!

There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
