Chad don't "compare" that way here. Everybody's at different stages of development and we all can learn from each other. Even old fvcks like me learn new tricks. (Shut up Haz.) It's what makes this thread so valuable, imho.

Workout looks good to me. A couple thoughts on stiff leg deads as way to many guys screw them up:

    1. Start your move by pushing your hips back. Not by just bending over. This will direct the effect to your hams quicker.
    2. Keep a slight break in the knee to keep stress off your lower back and keep your back arched.
    3. Stretch your way down. Squeeze your way up
    4. Do not round or roll your shoulders toward the floor when bending over. It does nothing for your hams and is just an illusion that you're stretching more. You won't go as deep but it does not matter, it's how much you effect the hamstrings that counts here.
    5. If you lock out at the top, contract your glutes.

Give it a try and report back. Hope it helps.

concentrated on slow reps. squeezing as much as I could at the top and slow negs

3 sets standing raises on smith machine. little more weight this tme. sacrificed some form but still felt it

3 sets stiff legged deads. Really stretched. only went to 225 but it was still hard on them. very slow reps at the bottom concentrating on feel and squeeze.

2 sets leg curls 1 working and 1 set to failure. past failure actually I haeld the machine and got some forced negs. afterwards I just held the weight for as long as I could mid rep and then legs collapsed.

so it was short but intense. maybe it will work. too bad I don't have your wheels lol.
Buddy if you put your heart and soul into that leg workout. It's not a joke of a workout. Don't feel or think that ever. Everyone is different and have different strengths and weaknesses. As long as you believe in the workout you did be proud of it. I remember the first time I trained with my trainer doing legs. I had one plate on each side of the leg press. I felt like a pvssy. But when I tried to walk up the stairs of my house I couldn't make it. I had to do it in sections. When I went to sit on the toilet I couldn't hold my weight and crashed down. To Marcus or Kel the weight would have been non- existent. Shoot to a high school athlete it would be light. But you know I have never had a better or more muscle tearing leg workout in my life. I'm proud as hell of that 90 lbs leg presses I did that day.

Kel, thank you. Will definitely try this. its a lot to take in at once but I will do the best I can.

Morning. Going to make a doc appt this week. I haven't had a good night sleep in weeks. I think I may have a deviated septum as my head is always clogged on one side or the other after lying down for any length of time.

I'm always jumping in my sleep as well, driving my wife crazy. A friend thought I may want to get checked for RLS or sleep apnea.

That's funny. Not funny but a coincidence. I have sleep apnea and can't use the cpap any longer. I'm scheduled next month to fix my deviated septum remove tonsils and reduce my soft pallet. Do get checked for both. Apnea will led to a lot of health issues if not treated.

No kidding. That is a coincidence. I'm getting concerned and am extremely frustrated at night. The sides from the hgh have not been helping the matter either, which is why I am backing off a unit as of today.

The sleep study shows I stop breathing over 70 times an hour. Not conducive with rest. But the cpap fills me full of air now like a ballon. It's extremely uncomfortable. I can't do it any more. Surgery is last option. He said it will be 10 of the most painful days of my life. Looking so forward to that.

I really would get it checked out if I were you.

Wow. I'm very curious to find out what the issue is. Surgery doesn't sound fun, but then again, neither does the cpap

Well, it's not making it any better, that's for sure. I'm sure it's made it worse, wand when I do sleep, weird dreams are definitely more prevalent.

I'm taking Allegra D everyday, take melatonin and prami before bed and I'm taking way too much afrin, which doesn't help for any amount of time to allow for good sleep - I wake up clogged as early as a couple hours after taking it.

Hello.... How did I miss this?

I just started using the cpap machine last month. SUCKS and I cant sleep with it so far. I just switched from the mask to the nose piece and it's not much better.

I'm in about the same boat as you, 70 times an hour or more. I have been getting up at least 1x an hour for years now and getting 4hrs max sleep most nights.

I have had surgery for deviated septum 3x and polyps removed 1x. The nose surgery has never been painful. Uncomfortable yes but not painful. Now they did cut the uvula once to try to help with snoring/sleep and that was painful but thanks to liquid roxicet it helped 99%. Best pain killer I have ever used.

Yeah get off the afrin, very addictive. I had to use it only on one side for a while to get off and then watered down then only saline for a while. Use the breath right nasal strips to help, especially at night.

I take ambien to often. Ive been trying OTC safeway brand Tylenol PM + melatonin + calcium, magnesium & potassium. Calcium, magnesium and potassium, is also a natural relaxant in the body.

Some steroidal nasal sprays like Flixonase and Nasonex may be more effective than afrin. But anyway since you're going to see your doc, let's wait and see what he does. GL

i have a friend who had that surgical procedure done and he said if he had it to do over again he would not do it, it was not worth the pain. i think it lasted longer than 10 days for him. (this is assuming its the same thing - he had a procedure done because of snoring and/or sleep apnea where they cut some crap out of his mouth/throat..)

Good news. If you are having dreams you probably don't have apnea. You wouldn't get into that deep of a state of sleep. I

My co worker also had the surgery for the soft pallet. He still has the same issue. Looks like a lot of us are sleep deprived.

Yeah reducing the soft pallet. It's the last resort. Cpap mandibular devices. All no goes anymore. I've heard that from others as well.

3x - that's insane.. they couldn't get it right or it kept 'deviating'?

I know.. I'm so frustrated with this becuase I'll go a few days without using it and then give in just so I can get some initial sleep before the tossing and turning starts.

haha...damn kel.. memories huh? Must have been pretty cool. Hey btw, I brought the work boots for leg day last week and threw them on for squats. I like. I also took some 5lb plates and put them on my heels but that a bit overkill. Going to bring them again today.

thx again for the tip on this.

fixed it good the 1st time but after a few years it sort of closed up and I re broke it again or should I say my daughter did when she was about 1 rocking in my lap and slammed her head back into my nose.

Last time he left the bone out so it cant break, it will just sort of push/mush over to one side and I can straighten it back out myself. lol

I keep forgetting to use the breath right strips. I think I will order a bunch from Amazon so I have them handy.

I've gotten my ass kicked by my daughter as well. When she was 4, she was running up to me and I bent down to pick her up and she hit me in the eye with a dorito and tore my cornea.. lol.

The breath right strips to do nothing for me.. I get clogged either way.

you can get a shot for that now to make you immune. Back in the day, my parents let me play with a kid who had chicken pox so I would get it over with.. Wonderful logic lol.

Good logic. Better than a vaccine that eventually stops working and who knows what else is in it. Did you hear/read about the millions of people who were infected with a cancer causing gene from the polio shot?

In 1960, researchers discovered that the polio vaccine distributed to certain states was infected with another virus called "Simian Virus 40." SV-40 has been found in 33% of the osteosarcoma bone cancers studied, in 40% of other bone cancers, and in 60% of the mesotheliomas lung cancers.

They found the rhesus monkey virus in 83% of choriod plexus papillomas, in 73% of ependymomas, in 47% of astrocytomas, in 50% of glioblastomas, and in 14% of meningiomas.

thx again for the tip on this.

Surgery ain't so bad...... You'll be ok man. There's a few different methods for removing tonsils. Most places are up to date on newer methods that help reduce bleeding and swelling. Do some research and inform yourself before you go.

    Thanks for the motivation Cape!
That's what I love about the diary. People building each other up and not tearing down. Off day for me. Back at it tomorrow.

Removing tonsils ain't no surgery. Thats like removing a wart or hang nail. Big wussy. LoL.

I've never been worried going under the knife and I've been put out for surgery 13+ times. I was even awake during one of my eye surgeries. I'd rather be put out. You go to sleep, wake up and its over.

With tonsils..... The surgery is a cake walk. It's the 7-10 days after that really sucks. Especially for adults.

Had something come up today. Son is really sick all of the sudden so now I am behind on work. Going to be really hard to finish and train today also. I need to train really bad. Im starting to get fat but im not gaining anymore weight. Also really dreading the fact I have to cycle off or else be on trt forever. Is a choice I will have to live with.

Calves aren't really sore at all. hams are. Really need to go to the gym. Maybe tonight I can.
