I had some health issues which I had to deal with, I thought I had cancer of the prostate, liver, testicle, kidney and bladder and in all honesty I was scared. I couldn't stop pissing blood clots and had serious pains so had to take time out to get the tests done and get my head straight. I didn't sleep for over week and wasn't in the right state of mind to post, sorry guys but one thing I didn't stop doing and that was training, that's true I still knock the shit out of the weights.
Funny story now which I can tell but when I went for my first scan they said all my organs are big! I said is that a bad thing and they said no they are big and strong and looking at the size of you its no surprise, that did make me smile but when they started to discover things what shouldn't be there I got worried. Anyway the cancer screening came back zero or low and the problem is a very bad infection which needs 3 months worth of treatment on it to zap the shit out of it

Today. Not as high intensity the whole workout, but I did have my screaming moments which was awesome. Only one in the gym for a while so I blasted away
Abs
5 sets decline crunches. I went to floor with these, not quite as good as hanging from a bar but still good stretch. 15-20 reps each
Calves
Seated calf raises
5 sets went heavier everytime
Tri's and Bi's were supersetted today. I wont go into great detail but I will say that my left elbow gave me problem during the workout...and now my right elbow is in pain after the workout...go figure. Could not do the incline skull crushers today, gonna have to lay off them for awhile completely looks like.
I pretty much used cables today for tri's, opened with 3 sets and 1 failure set of dips, 3 plates was just too heavy today couldn't do but 1 rep and I said fvck this. just not enough test in my blood anymore. BI's were preacher machine which I love, and incline dumbbell, supinating wrists. But I did have a good pump. Arms unfortunately didn't make it to 19 but they were about a fingernail away from it and a small one at that.
Like kelkel says, heres some pics for ridicule or motivation.

Looks good. Nice cap on your delts and wide clavicles. Get some pull on neoprene wraps for your elbows. Keep the heat in them when working out and avoid "anything" that aggravates them. If there's only one exercise that doesn't hurt then just do that. Don't keep messing with inflammation and turn it into a serious problem. Give it time to heal. Ice, NSAID's.

Google neoprene wraps and you'll get plenty of hits for places to order on line.

For your knees, do you find that they're sufficient for heavy squatting and presses, or are wraps a better choice for heavy weight?

I'm training in a hotel gym this week. You'd love it - I could do the whole stack on the universal machine for legs and for pull downs! I felt like one of you boys.

I used to use wraps when I was powerlifting but stopped after they broke a vein in my gastroc which put me in the hospital for 3 days. Filled my leg up with blood and they thought it may clot. If a clot breaks loose it can kill you. So, 3 days on blood thinners with my leg elevated and wrapped in a hot water flowing heat pump thingy. Some fun. Best part was days later the doc sticking a 50cc syringe in and out of my leg to remove blood from around the muscle. The blood had filled my lower leg preventing movement. Oh, I was then off of work and on crutches for 6 weeks.
Anyway, I've learned that they really are not needed unless powerlifting, at least in my opinion. I could not imagine wearing them again and other than a few aches and pains every now and then my knees have been great.
Edit to say that the guy who wrapped my legs was a nationally ranked powerlifter. They would wrap them so tight you could not bend your knees until you had massive poundage on them. But that's what works in that game.Last edited by kelkel; 11-10-2013 at 07:56 PM.

Thanks ig. Yes, I agree. My legs look a lot better than these pics I swear they do lol. These look like my intention was to make them look like crap haha. They are not on par with my upper body though. Legs and back are my focal points this coming year. This year was just about shedding all that fat I had and recomping to get back close to where I was in '03 which I exceeded so I'm happy.
Yes generally. They recover quickly so I throw them in every few sessions.

Hey Marcus, do they know what cause the infection?

Nice size Chad, looking good
Thanks Giggle
Thanks cape
thanks
i'm on the mend so i'm back
They have a few ideas but one was they think I wasn't emptying my bladder properly enough which cause an infection to grow and due to the amount of water I drink I didn't see the first signs of blood until it went serious. I think that's the way they are thinking at this stage. I have discovered I have a enlarged prostate but I don't have aany prostate issues except getting up during the night once or twice but ive always done that due to the amount of water I drink but at first that was the main concern that I may have prostate problems but now that's been ruled out, my PSA blood test was very low which was a relief.
