Actually, compared to last summer this one has been pretty mild. I much prefer the winter though. I like being able to work in a t-shirt and never break a sweat.

I live down at Bondi Beach so cardio in the summer time is easy, swim every day! Winter isn't fun though haha

Finally back in the grind, curious though.. Why in the hell, after a hard session, does it feel like I need to throw up? Just wondering, I know a lot of people feel the same way after a session, I'm just wondering the physiological reasoning

For me that immediate feeling of nausea especially when doing legs is overexertion.
When your body is like WHAT THE F@#%K?!
After the work out I would say appetite.

Had a great back day today.
Few new PR's for reps with the heavy stuff, and some nauseating drop sets to boot!
    Easing back into deads.
Not feeling confident with them yet and I have a little lower back discomfort still.
Getting some painful lower back pump towards the end of my 20min of stairmill also.

Really looking forward to the rest day tomorrow!

Lots of possible answers. Getting used to the strain again. Hydration, getting over-heated.

Ok guy's got bi's done this morning did some stretching and a good warm up 50 reps on cable bb got them full of blood.

Standing db curl 1 working & DD

Incline db curl 1 working 1 drop + RP

Cable bb curl 1 working + RP

Hammer curls 1 working 1 drop

Standing & incline were all done with slow neg and palms facing forward. I did some RP as i had to stop the burn was fvcking excruciating. I could not do CC no chance my bi's were fried after the standing & incline. Loving the DD the now guys it's really tearing down the tissue and causing some pain so i'm going to stick with this the now it was a great session.

    Crunches- 2 sets
    Calves-2 w/u, Work1-10, Work2-9
    Hack squats-2 w/u, Work1-8, Work2-7
    Leg press-2 w/u, Work1-6, Work2-5
    Power thrusts-1 w/u, Work-7
    Rack stretches and toe touches

Took right @ 1 hr. Almost spewed my guts a few.times; believe I got a little hoggish and drank too much water. Feels good to be totally wiped and looking forward to getting back in the groove this coming week. Plan to do 1 more pullback lift (arms) and then get back to the real deal/beyond failure.
Working on a WPI shake now. 10 oz. flank steak, steamed squash, and a medium red potato coming up in a hour or two.

Edit: I know my lift is about 6 hrs later than I planned, but the wife wanted me to watch a movie with her and the beasts.

Looking into picking up some Powerblock Dumbell's in the near future. Anyone here have any experience with them? And if so I'd like to hear your thoughts, both positive and negative please.

Kel I have been extremely happy with my power blocks! I bought the set new about 2 years ago & have had absolutely no issues with them. I bought the 90lb dumbells with the stand. Yes they were pricey, but much nicer than the other adjustable style dumbells I've tried. They're very durable & don't feel like cheap pieces of chit when you're using them. Very user friendly...great for drop sets as it's very fast to change the weight. I also appreciate the fact that they're adjustable in 2.5 pound increments.

Only thing that I liked better about a fixed dumbell is that you can drop them after a last rep or whatever. Not that big of a deal though...you actually get more if a workout controlling them back down...basically a negative rep, lol! I'm really really happy with them...my wife loves them aswell!

Looks a bit diferent how the grip is almost like its in a cage, but you adapt almost instantly & is a non issue.

I wish I could've found a used set, but they would never show up at the time I was looking so I bit the bullet. Glad I did!

Took another week off this week. Work schedule increased so I chose to spend time with the family rather than the gym. Start back hard tomorrow on a new schedule training every other day adding cardio on the days between with 2 days per week completely off. So counting off days it'll be a 9 day split 4 training days 3 cardio days and 2 off. Gonna see how it goes and adjust from there. Had an epic cheat meal today to finish out the week 23oz porter house with a baked sweet potato and rice. Got some funny looks from the people around us when my plate was clean before the wife finished her salad.

That vid Drew put up is a good one...the cons he mentioned are very subtle, but worth mentioning & all good points! I think you would have to have pretty big hands to be an issue there. As for the pins & magnetic strip...good points aswell but we're talkin you MIGHT loose 1 seconds if you don't hit the right entry, but hardly happens as you get used to how it works. All valid points though & something to consider as always !

Appreciate it. May order up soon. New are going for around $599 delivered. No shipping charges. Figured I'd go with the 90's and just upgrade to 125's later on....
I have older Nautilus Select-tech dumbells that only go to 52.5 so they're not good for much. I'll sell them to recoup some cash.
