A question for the both of ye, do ye rotate your programmes ie one week monday chest the next week, say ye start with back etc? This could have been asked already but I may have missed it. The only reason I am asking is because I hear so many different and conflicting opinions I'd rather ask the pair of yet with decent and sustained experience and opinions

How often do you train a light week to avoid injury when you are on a heavy program? I had to take week 4 off(dropped weight to about 60%) after 3 heavier weeks cause I was feeling some tension in my elbows

you were just recovering from a bout of flu right? and now this, so soon? if i remember correctly, some sort of bacteria infection can trigger an abnormal response from your immune system and cause it to damage the kidneys, giving rise to blood in the pee. hope they did some test to exclude that.

M: Chest, Bi's, Tri's
W: Total legs
F: Back and Shoulders
Now, before people say chest and arms are too much in one sitting. It simply works for me. I've been doing this a long time and understand my body. I get the entire workout done in just short of an hour (50 minutes) from the moment I hit my gym, including warm ups. I do not do a lot of sets and my training is pretty much how Marcus describes his theories. It's been this way for about 8-10 yrs now basically. As I've gotten older I've realized how important rest and recuperation really are and that we grow "outside" the gym. I also train exceptionally fast. I consider myself an "impatient" bodybuilder and just don't rest much. Probably why I never felt the need to do cardio.
After chest I hit biceps as it tends to give my triceps a brief period to recuperate. When I get to tri's they are still warm so I don't have to kill myself with a lot of warm-ups to get things going.
Anyway, that's basically my Monday workout. My gym is in my basement so the equipment is limited. I have to rely a bit more on intensity and motivation to keep getting results. Basic exercises simply work with the right mind-set. You don't need all the fancy crap. My goal is to get down there, be as productive as I can in as short a period as I can and get the fvck out. I've got other things to do!

I have done chest and back years ago together. Tough to do. Antagonistic muscle groups. There's something to be said for it but I would not do it again nor do I feel I could with maximum intensity.
I could never do anything after legs. Impossible as that body part would be short-changed both mentally and physically.
Back and shoulders I like. Doing back first warms up my shoulders and since switching to that combination I've had far less shoulder issues.
Plus, if you're a cardio guy it gives you free days just for that purpose. Also if you choose to do some extra work for a particular body part the weekends are free to do so.
Give it a try. Change is good!

No I am off cycle
I take a step back when I need it, usually my body will let me know to take down the intensity or have more rest days
Your right, thanks for the information
always good advice my friend
Change is good, I couldn't train that split the way I train but for you its working......

Absolutely. Remember, chest and arms can be a lot of work in one sitting so be sure to limit the amount of sets and make what you do count. Try giving yourself a set amount of time to get the workout done in and adhere to it, no matter what. After a while you'll be able to shorten the time period even more and your workouts will become more and more productive. Remember there are only a few ways to increase intensity, one is to increase the weight and another is to shorten rest periods. As your body adapts it has no choice but to grow assuming your nutrition is on point.

Kelkel, you only work out 3 times per week? How often do you lift marcus300? Currently my routine (without any details) is:
Monday: Shoulders
Tuesday: Back
Wednesday: Chest
Thursday: Legs
Friday: Arms/abs.
I used to do full body workouts, and then I switched to upper and lower body splits. For the past year and a half, I have been doing these isolated splits.

If the fever is gone and the blood has cleared, probably the antibiotics are working. May take up to 1-2wks to completely clear. Hope they gave you enough pills. You may then need another urine test to make sure there isnt anymore microscopic bleeding.
Xrays may need to be done cos urinary infection should not occur spontaneously in men unless there are other problems causing the infection.(stone or stricture or other abnormalities). Ultrasound or contrast xray studies are the usual next step.
