I've forced myself in there countless times and sometimes you snap into it and often it's just not in the cards. In those cases, I typically just pack up and leave so not to risk injury from being fatigued or maybe do 10-15 mins cardio.

So today was cardio and core and decided to throw a bit of arms in there too as last night we made a balls of them due to trying something new which was a waste of time tbh but lesson learnt so not so bad.
25 mins walk uphill on the threadmill.
Then kneeling rope pulls downs for abs, decline bench for abs and a few planks.
Then quick bis curls, ez bar and straight bar curls too.
Tris rope push downs. Behind the head bb tris and skull crushers.
Arms felt ok no real pump finding it hard lately to make.arms sore.
Any ideas??

Are you going heavy enough on compounds and how is your form on movements overall? I get a great pump from weighted dips, and skull crushers for tris, and barbell curls for bis. Try grabbing a heavy bar and keeping your elbows even with your shoulders (or even behind them a bit) and don't move them during your reps. This gives me a real nice bi pump.Originally Posted by DCI

You should be taking them to failure. By the em of the incline curls your bi's should be jam packed with blood. Drop set your last set.
By the time you make it to the cables you shouldn't feel like doing then. It's a straight lactic acid burn.
When it comes to arms I feel like most people give up before they fail. The lactic acid builds and burns before you hit failure. Once people feel the burn they stop. You need to push past that point. Once the burn starts..... That's when your set truly starts!
Look what the HAW made me. It was really good.

Well, I planned on making this a little more intense than usual, so it ran a shade long. Arms are still burning. Still hitting higher reps and lots of drops.
Seated dbell curl- 2 w/u, Work- 5+,drop, 3+,drop, 4+,drop, 3+. New weight.
Incline dbell curl-2 w/u, Work-7+,drop,2+,drop, 3+,drop,4+.
Preacher curl off back of incline bench-Work-5,drop, 2,drop,3,drop,4+, 6 cheat reps w/ slow neg.
CG cable EZ curl-Work-5,drop,3+,drop,7+ w/ 5 count neg. on partials of last drop. Also just a tad of cheating on positive of last few reps.
Wrist curls behind back- 2 sets to failure. 1 set w/ wide grip.
Close grip Smythe press- 2 w/u, Work- 8,drop,3,drop,5 - 4+
Triceps pressdown w/ rope- 1 w/u, Work-3+,drop,3+,drop,3+ - 4+.
Dbell skulls-Work-4,drop, 3+,drop,5+,drop, 3+.
Pinwheels- 1 set to failure
Biceps stretch off high bar in Smythe machine for a long 60 count.
52 minutes. A little longer than usual, but I had already planned to trash my arms.Arms plumped up nicely.
