I have been doing HIT the past 2-3 weeks and I love it.

    I have a few questions

    1. I finish my workout in 35-40 minutes. I do 1 working set to failure. Should I do 2 sets to failure? I feel I am shying away from hardwork by spending less time in the gym.

    2. I don't have a training partner so I drop weight until my body can't handle it. Sometimes I drop weight weight 4-5 times (2-6 reps). Is that too much?

    3. Sometimes it's very hard to get to another set/exercise within 60 seconds. Body gets so tired that it's almost impossible to lift more. I have been sticking to the 60 second rest rule but I have to lift light. Should I continue to lift light or rest a little longer?
Hey ho we have a new victim,

I wont answer your questions because I see they have been answered

    Hope you like pain

Looks like the fascia pulled loose from the scar tissue of the old injury. Dr. offered to refer me to an ortho for rehab exercises, but I already know what they are. I'll just make dang sure to do them this time. Told me to come see her immediately if any issues arise and to use good judgement regarding the amount of weight when I start back to working legs. Her suggestion is keep up with the stretches, and gradually start working back into bodyweight exercises over the next few weeks before getting back to loading plates on the bar/machine. Sounds like I may have gotten pretty lucky, so I'm thankful for that!
Going to lightly wrap my quad and go.to the shop to work shoulders here in a bit.
Erggggggg AG relax man taking it easy for a day or so then hop back on

Hope everyone is doing good this morning. Work is taking all of my time up I am getting on and reading some just not posting much. I haven't picked up a weight in almost 2 weeks(Saturday will be two). My body and mind is feeling good. My brain is saying MFer are you going to lift or what... Trying to hold off till Saturday before I pick up anything weights.

I am working a 12pm-8pm shift right now. This will be my last day of it thank god. They are getting ready to have that layoff of 730 people. Prayers sent to them and their family. So anyways just wanted to get on and say good morning everyone and I hope you kill your workout. I cant wait to get back at it. I need this long break a long time ago.

Best wishes for those getting laid off and their families. I've worked at a large job shop that caught fire/exploded, worked for a medium sized plant that shut down, an for another job shop that the owner just gave up. Its a scary, shitty feeling that is hard to shake off.

On a positive note, you'll learn to recognize the signs that you need to go on a pullback and have a decent feel.for it.

    I sure will

Idk if you saw this... It was a close 2 sets (but still no cigar) and My calves are still hurting, as well lol... This was a post from the day after/or after that... EVERYONE... If your mind isn't there(like mine wasn't) this is what happens(you won't recruit your type 2b fibers! Marcus is right... I need to do them right if I'm going to do it!
PS... My calves still hurt and I've never hit them that hard in my life and I can't wait to try it again!

My calves continue to get more painful as the day goes on... I went back and checked my book... So I did my first set and working weight was too heavy(for that workout by A LOT) lol - so I did 16reps(double bounce) then 25 body weights on plate(double bounce)
Second set(30s later dumb should've took longer) reduced weight(by about 40%) 14reps than 20 body weights(these hurt just as bad as i hit rep 10(my mind wasn't even close to being right - as I started thinking about my leg w/o) usually it warms me up which it did but in a much more painful way(Id finish with them next time) lol - then Since I didn't actually complete the w/o I did another set w/same weight 30s later and got 10 and called it good on calves

The tendon? behind the knee is wound up very tight I keep stretching it(ouch)... Definitely harder to walk now than 4 hrs ago haha

It'll be a gosl of mine until it's done(then it's gotta be part of your routine, right?!)

    CAT scan is back!

So first off I'm at work. Had vise president of company here. And had a huge health inspection at same time.

Trying to catch up on work, had my phone in office on the charger.

Next thing I know, another manager comes to me with confused look...saying "there is a Dr so and so on the phone for u"

I almost have a heart attack....like can't be good if he is calling work at 5pm.

Anyways, he says scan looked "rock solid" absolutely no changes. (Which is good. It can't get any better only worse. So no change is freaking awesome!) Now next scan won't be for another year!!

Going home tonight to place an order hahaha

No it isn't normal, well I guess right now it is.

    It's still over sized.

    4.4 mm

It will never get smaller but it's not getting bigger and that what we were worried about. I think surgery would be in the 5-5.4mm.

Just means I have a big heart

Hell, we knew you had a big heart and are tough as nails . . Yes, oversized is normal for you. The left side of my heart is oversized from the cardiomyopathy, but has remodeled to a slightly smaller size which is my new "normal".

    Excellent

    Thank you guys!!!!

Wish I could say time to kill it now.....but have to keep this pace up lol.

Thinking I can "blast" of sorts with HIT, and basically do the opposite of what normally do. 6-8 wks at 60-70% and then 2-3 wks full blown 110%.

No sir, I was fortunate to have a good cardiologist at the time that was in tight with MUSC and they were able to get my heart to partially remodel with meds and the biventricular pacemaker for the short time I was able to have it ( had.the pacer for about 7-8 months then managed to get staph in my blood which almost wrapped things up for me).

Just had some coffee. Not had any for weeks I also dropped down a high energy drink and I'm on one. Going to work around injuries but pain is on the menu.

I've never seen normal. Nothing about me is normal so why train like the rest of the cvnts.

Going to hurt my partner today.

Determination, drive, stubbornness, a irresistible urge to be the best, a refusal to quit, and a love of pain.

We fcking lift in our own world. Thats the difference we don't need appreciation or admiration from others. We do this fcking shit for ourselves and no one else.

We don't want likes on social media or to be idolised we want it all for ourselves. And the people who we help are like us and they get it because like us they are fcking mad.

Serious gym this new place dead quiet great dbs and benches banged out chest last night its sore and was a great season steam coming off my forehead. Loved every minute of it.
