should I question my 'friend'?
I have recently taken to the leap to the AAS side and after asking people and researching a fair bit I took the leap of starting a deca only cycle, this was bigged up to me via the friend I was going to buy it from, he told me my strength would be huge and I'd be a walking erection etc etc etc anyway, after starting (I hasten to add I've stopped it now) I found out via some very knowledgeable people on here that what I'd been advised wasn't even particularly close to the truth, and now I hear that he's told some of my mates I'm full of 'gear', now I'm the guy who if he gets pissed off with someone will just avoid them because I can't handle conflict in a positive light, the fact is he's advised me wrongly over something I'm directly injecting and it could have had a negative impact so I'm quite pissed off, my question is should I put it down to a lesson learned in life or should I just go and collar him?

If you had the time to come here and do your research midway through your cycle and found that you had been told wrong relatively quickly, with enough time to stop early on, wouldnt it have been sensible to do more research before jumping in the deep end?
I dont really think you can blame him.. IMO

You're 29 years old. It is your fault. Man up and take responsibility for your actions and research what the hell you're putting into your body next time...
It's probably in your best interest to stop talking to your 'friend' also.

I just felt he'd convinced me it was all good, I'd never came across this website until I started, I suppose all the research I'd done was naively looking for the positives, I just wanna do it right and safely, the thing that bothered me was that he was a pretty close friend

You made a decision to listen to a drug dealer for advice on injecting hormones into your body. Now you find ou that the info he gave you was BS and your mad at HIM???
Lesson learned! This is serious business. Study, research and make educated decisions!
But....i would also kick him in the nutz and uppercut his face.....

From my experience I would say he doesn't know any better, and was told the same thing by another retard, most guys I know who sell have no idea what so ever about what they're are doing or selling.
You are to blame, you chose to inject something into your body,
within even 5 minuets of research you should have realised what you had been told was a bad idea.
I don't know you or him but there is a good chance he wasn't intentionally setting you up, as I said earlier he has no clue what he's doing and doesn't know any better and was just repeating what he had been told by another idiot at the gym.Last edited by auswest; 11-22-2012 at 08:29 PM.

Live and learn bro my first cycle was 900mg of test e a week for 13 weeks with superdrol from week
1-3 and 10-13 and only tamox for pct haha boy did i learn quickly about the right way to do things. I just took the advice of my dealer who is trying to sell as much as he can. God my joints and liver were sore.

What kind of researching would lead you in to doing a deca only cycle? Googling that phrase alone should've told you in a couple hits that wasn't a very good idea.
and Euroholic, I rant a lot of SD before, WTF does a sore liver feel like? You just mean enlarged?

agree with the above
before injecting 'things' into your body, do your OWN research
dont really on what your dealer, your friend, or what some random guy at the gym tells you.... thats just stupid...
your a fully grown adult, it is your fault, no one else's..

I see this so often it just makes me laugh any more. People start out with, "after doing a lot of research....." and then they discuss one of the poorest cycles possible. It makes me think they haven't done any research or all they did was Google a bunch of crap as if the Internet is gospel. The other side of the coin are those that take the advice of a friend or source. Both bad decisions.
I'm going to start a thread soon called "the most ridiculous things noobs say".
Sorry OP, this mistake is on you.

When I first started I pretty much took my friends word for it too. He was pretty spot on with basic advice and such, but as I started I did my own research for pretty much anything and everything and now he comes to me with questions haha. The point is, don't rely on anyone to give you the right answers, even on here, just cause a guy has a lot of posts or has been a member for a while doesn't mean a thing (don't get me wrong this is pretty much the only place I would trust someone with an opinion or advice and there a lot of guys who know what they're doing and will point you in the right direction, but you should still proceed with caution after getting advice). Always do your own research, even if it is just to confirm what someone told you.

No worries people, it's put down to a lesson learnt now, I can't blame anyone else I suppose but accepting responsibility isn't really fun :-/ can I post my 'post research-jabs-research again cycle' on here to see what y'all think?

Throw it up in the Q&A Man, With all your stats, diet and lifting routine

MAN...why I mean HOW could you make such a serious decision about your body without doing the research?
This sh!t isn't a multi-vitamin or a protein shake.
READ READ READ.
Also..I'd question what he sold you...who knows what you put in.
Be careful.

Yeah, I take full responsibility now, I have to hold my hands up, I suppose I didn't wanna face the truth but I am a silly and naive man, the guy I bought it off was someone I thought was a good friend, but like people have said he might be just repeating what he's been told, either way I've learnt from it
Anyway, I'll post my new cycle alongside my diet and routine, see what y'all think, and I hope my slightly more intelligent research will help
Thanks for all your help
