    Mac running slow

What can I do to get my mac running fast again. I mean its not terribly slow but not as fast as when I bought it. I pretty much use my lap top for music, ton of email for work, and torrents. I have 133 gb left and its coming up on 3 years old

Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility> First Aid> Repair Disk Permissions

Make sure you select Mac HD.

If you have 133 gb of space left, it's not the emails.

I would get a virus scanner (you can get them for free) and scan everything on your heard disk; it could be malware (yes it does happen to Mac's as well)

Due to Mac's distinct partitioning format type, they really don't get fragmented the way Windows would. Cleanmymac is a very good product, and will find tones of useless garbage and should speed up your system
