Protecting Me and My Family
With the frequency of these violent and deadly shooting I have decided to take certain actions. I have my conceal carry firearm permit. Today I purchased a Glock 27 subcompact for concealed carry. This pistol will compliment my Glock 23. Being that the 23 magizine will fit the 27.So I can go from side arm to backup with no issue. I have also purchased a Galco ankle holster with a boot expander. I will be carrying everyday from here on out. I do not want myself or family to be a victim. I have a lot of firearms training and I am qualified with a pistol. The prices on firearms is about to skyrocket so if you have been waiting you better do it soon. I have never been in a shooting situation, I do not know how I will react when the time comes. But I do know I want to have a fighting chance. Or, if I can save someone else, I want the ability to try. Thank you.

Very smart man. I too have my CPL . I never use to carry but with everything lately , I think that's going to change.
Plan for the worst n hope for the best.
They're about to pass a law in Michigan. Where you can carry anywhere Schools, churches hospital government buildings anywhere it will require extra training to do so though. I will be doing this also

I've always been torn on getting a carry permit. To me, that's just the first place for the authorities to start looking when the law is passed revoking the 2nd amendment...and yes, I think it will happen. The stage appears to be set. The rolls of citizens with carry permits is where the first collection lists will be generated, along with NRA membership rolls. I have guns, all purchased via private individual transactions...no gun stores. I do not have a carry permit. Sure, I'd love to carry but to me its a trade off of doing without my side arm while outside of my house in order to try and maintain some level of autonomy by being "off the grid", as it were as far as documentable gun ownership.

So if they revoke your second ammendment rights and determine a private citizen can no longe own a gun...you plan to just own illegaly lol? Never going to happen silly! Will there be some restrictions on gun purchases in the future...most likely. It;s just like the Bardy Bill...they banned NEW weapons from being configured in a certain manner but could do nothing about those already owned. The US will not become a police state and take away your property.

PVC garden is she you take PVC pipe use pipe cement to seal and water proof the fittings on the ends so your firearms are protected. Dig a hole and put them in it. Cover the hole. Search of home car or office comes up empty. You need something go out after dark and retrieve your property. Thought this was common knowledge.

Wife is totally against hand guns (because I suffer from Neopolean syndrome) so I have a shotgun, rifle, and a 4 wheel drive.

i agree they arent going to revoke the 2nd amendment. Thats fear mongering on the right to get everyone in a panic.
new laws may pass on types of ammo or clips, assualt weapons, better checks or closing loop holes on how they are purchased.
Why, would you be lost with out your guns? not be able to feed your family? loose your job?
I get people are into guns, or hunting, but acting like its the end of the world if that is effected is ridiculous. Some people lost family and people act like its worse to loose access you gunsIf people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

No No No thats not what this is about. I couldn't imagine the loss those people are having to deal with. This is about me having the ability to end a situation before it gets to the point of many lives lost. If one teacher or administrator had a firearm would there be less children dead? We will never know but one armed trained individual against some sick son of a bitch should come out on top every time. You can take my rights away. That doesn't mean I won't become a criminal and keep my side arm. Please never think I put that right over the lives lost. That ain't me babe.

I'm not saying that's you particularly bud. But there's going to be a lot of people with the same mindset of buying extra firearms and some, even becoming vigilante's. which kinda exacerbates the problem from my point of view. Normal people buy extra guns then psycho's and criminals buy more guns.
I am, of course, English and don't/can't understand your (Americans) mindset over guns.
Obama, of course, has nothing to lose. This is the 4 years that can define him as a President, be interesting to see if he has the balls to anything about the gun laws.NO SOURCES GIVEN

I got mines, lol.
I know a feller here locally who teaches those permit classes. He is awesome
The disappointing fact here is you didn't consult with me before purchasing said firearm. Hey everyone knows where I stand on this. So in case you don't I will tell you.
I wear everyday and hope I am never faced with that kind of decision. If I am I will try my damnedest to get my family and myself home safe. Whatever that takes, remember guys just because we dipping/retarded/redneck/goat fvckers carrying guns don't mean we believe in killing innocent people. We believe in protection, how many of you have doorknobs on your doors at home??
Go for it take em off. It's ok nothing will happen and the police will be there shortly to clean up the mess if anything does go wrong. We have the right to protect out families and ourselves and others. Believe me I have went through serious mental tests and evaluations. I have went through the same tests that the police does. I won't tell you why

I plan on getting my conceal carry soon..I've been wanting to do it for a while. I'm looking to pick up a glock 20. Mostly going to use it on backpacking trips. It will be nice having that as an emergency protector(given the situation of course)(also "situation" can be referred to as mike from jersey shore or a real situation). It seems that crime and armed robberies have increased around where I live lately. It's a little scary not knowing what's going to happen at any given moment.

HK USP .40 Compact under my pillow. :-)
You should definitely get an AR-15 or AK47 though.... chances are Obama is gonna put out a sales ban soon just to make the media happy. He doesn't care- he doesn't have to worry about being re-elected so...

I bought the pistol today because the price will be going up due to government talks on banning and supply and demand.
On Friday after the shooting 100,000 magazines for different types of firearms were sold by a distributor here. They are out. Demand is over supply. When the assault rifle ban happend a rifle cost $400-500 Before the ban went into effect the price jumped to $1500-2000.. I have more guns than I will ever need, but not for the concealed carry. So I got it while I could afford it.
